<div>So top surgery has been rescheduled, after facing many barriers my surgery has been re booked for mid November. On Wednesday this week I was informed that the Anaesthetist has changed his prices and I now need an additional $200 as soon as possible. On the day hospital fees haven't been confirmed but it should be $500 i will update if this changes

<div>Hello, some of you know me as Asha and some as Kandi and some as both! I’m a transwoman and drag performer here in Boorloo Perth.

<div>I started my transition back in 2000. I’m nearly 41 now. In 2008 I started my surgeries journey and had my first life affirming procedure which was my breasts. Recently through GP appointments and ultrasounds we have discovered my right breast has a split or “partial collapse” as my doctor called it. It’s imperative that they get removed sooner rather than later. This risk with a split or partial collapse is that small fragments of the silicone could be breaking away and going into my body. This is all the information my doctor gave me.

Help remove my split implants

<div><span style="letter-spacing:0.0085px;">Two months ago Scott contracted a bad case of Covid which put him off work for two weeks - enough to raise his stress levels considerably.  When finally back at work he found his eyesight was becoming a problem.  This increased to the stage where he finally had to see a doctor.  Long story short, what culminated from a myriad of hugely expensive tests and specialist referrals Scott was told last week he now has developed Acute Myeloid Leukaemia.</span><br />

<div>This is a devastating diagnosis with research stating it carries a 27-29% survival rate over 5 years.  Like so many millions of people facing cancer worldwide, Scott must now embark on a horrendous journey.

<div style="letter-spacing:0.0085px;">This is my youngest son Scott and I seriously don't think I've ever seen a photo of him that doesn't contain this beaming smile. He is a big booming Aussie guy who lives for his kids, makes all the sacrifices that top parents always do but has always put time with his kids above all pleasures in life.

<div style="letter-spacing:0.0085px;">Scott has worked in the mining industry for many years and put in the standard 13 gruelling hours a day. He is 41 years old now and separated from his wife after a year of overwhelming bad luck. He is living alone in a small country town and desperately trying to get his life back on track. Left with financial committments his lifestyle no longer reflects. Scott now works as a long haul truckie which is totally just money for hours. He rarely sees his kids.

<div>I have every confidence that Scott can beat this. It's the quality of life and the crippling financial burden which might bring him down. I am truly gobsmacked to discover the lack of support or options for hard working Australian's when facing this very dilemma.  Scott has  Superannuation and adequate life insurance but after consulting with a specialist legal firm today he learns that neither is available to him for 18 months!

<div>Centrelink is not a viable option given his committments and at this point in time he is not open to discussing bankruptcy.  That could be called stubbornness or even denial but Scott takes his responsibilities seriously and giving into such would change his belief in himself.

<div>I am asking for help because Scott simply never would.  He helps everyone else constantly, without question - but I can see he will drive himself beyond human endurance before accepting defeat. It is vital he stops work to focus on radical treatment but he is unable to see how he can possibly do that.
</div>

<div>If you can help in any way at all it will mean the world to our family. In particular, to my grandchildren who absolutely adore their dad.   The amount I've stated as a goal is optimistic I know but that reflects a 3 month grace period to cover expenses related directly to travelling to and from Perth, continual tests, scans, specialist appointments and ongoing drug therapy.
