I wanted to share a little update with everyone who has supported my family through this transition. ❤️ Starting over has been much harder than I could have imagined. At this time, I am still without income and don’t yet know when that will change. I’m doing everything I can to move forward and create a stable future for my children, our animals, and myself. During this time, I’m investing in rebuilding my future. I’m currently taking entrepreneurship training and learning new skills, including dog grooming, as I work toward opening my own small business and becoming financially independent again. In the meantime, there are still basic things our family genuinely needs. I’ve created an Amazon Wishlist with necessary household, personal, pet, and everyday items that would help take some of the financial pressure off while I continue working toward getting back on my feet. It is difficult for me to ask for help. But I’ve learned that rebuilding sometimes means allowing people who care about you to help you through the uncertain parts. If you’re able to purchase something from our wishlist, every single item will be genuinely needed, used, and deeply appreciated. If purchasing isn’t possible, sharing the wishlist can help us just as much. To everyone who has donated, shared, checked on us, encouraged me, or simply continued following our journey: thank you. Your kindness has carried us through more than you probably realize. We are still rebuilding. We are still figuring things out. But I’m working hard to turn this difficult chapter into something meaningful and create a new beginning for our family. ❤️ Quería compartir una pequeña actualización con todas las personas que han apoyado a mi familia durante esta transición. ❤️ Comenzar de nuevo ha sido mucho más difícil de lo que imaginaba. En estos momentos continúo sin ingresos y todavía no sé cuándo esa situación cambiará. Estoy haciendo todo lo que está en mis manos para salir adelante y crear nuevamente estabilidad para mis hijos, nuestros animales y para mí. Durante este tiempo estoy invirtiendo en reconstruir mi futuro. Actualmente me encuentro tomando adiestramientos de emprendimiento y aprendiendo nuevas destrezas, incluyendo dog grooming, con la meta de establecer mi propio pequeño negocio y volver a alcanzar mi independencia económica. Mientras continúo trabajando hacia esa meta, todavía tenemos necesidades básicas. Por esta razón creé un Amazon Wishlist con artículos necesarios para el hogar, necesidades personales, nuestros animales y nuestro día a día. Cada artículo recibido representa un gasto menos del cual preocuparme mientras continúo tratando de levantarme nuevamente. Para mí no es fácil pedir ayuda. Pero he aprendido que comenzar de nuevo también significa permitir que las personas que se preocupan por nosotros nos ayuden durante los momentos de mayor incertidumbre. If you're reading this, thank you for taking a moment to hear our story. For a long time, I tried everything I could to keep my family together, protect my children, and create a stable home. After years of emotional hardship and an abusive marriage, I made one of the hardest decisions of my life: to leave and start over. I am a single mother of two amazing children, both of whom have special needs. Every decision I make revolves around giving them the safe, peaceful, and stable childhood they deserve. After carefully planning and saving as much as I could, I am preparing to relocate to Puerto Rico, where we will have the opportunity to rebuild our lives, have a strong support system, and create a healthier future. While I have worked hard to make this happen, the financial burden of leaving an abusive situation has been overwhelming. A significant amount of money has been utilized for psychological, psychiatric and crisis management services. I had to step back from a toxic and unsupportive work environment and soon will not have enough leave balance to get through. No child support has been enforced and I have to make necessary repairs in our home to be able to put it on the market no later than by the end of July. The funds raised through this campaign will help cover legal and relocation expenses, including airline tickets, relocating our rescued pets, home repairs necessary for the sale of my Virginia home, emergency expenses, and immediate medical and academic needs before obtaining health insurance. Every dollar will help us safely complete this move and begin our next chapter. This isn't about starting over because we want to. It's about starting over because safety, peace, and hope matter.
