<div>*7/30/26 Update: Unfortunately, last night Nikki passed after a year long, difficult battle with cancer. She was 45. She was denied life insurance due to her condition, meaning we need help with her final expenses and bringing her home.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I will also be unable to work due to being our daughter Vale's full time caretaker, which will hopefully ease up when she begins school next year.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>So, for a final time, we're asking for help to tie this together, finish Nikki's story as best we can, and pick up the pieces to try to learn what normal is for the family now. As always, thank you for all of your generous help, shares and words of support. Nikki truly appreciated it as do I.*
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We've hit an emergency. In the summer of last year Nikki's scans came back positive for cancer after five years in remission. By the end of the year she was diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer, with the cancer spreading to her brain, bones and spleen. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy after an aggressive radiation treatment, but the cancer is incurable. She will be on chemo and suppressive medication for the rest of her life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The treatment, as well as the disease, has caused Nikki incredible pain as well as debilitating fatigue and other side effects.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our daughter Vale, 4, was diagnosed with level 2 autism and began speech therapy in the summer of '25 and is currently on two waiting lists for continuing therapy but needs constant supervision and care.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I have had to leave my job to become their caregiver full time for as long as it takes and do not qualify for extended leave. Because of this, we are facing incredible financial hardship-mortgage, groceries, utilities. With my family's care being a 24 hour job there is no possibility that I can work (outside of secondary income sources like freelancing, which even then is a challenge) and we are in danger of losing our home as well as the negative impact this sort of stress has on Nikki's health and Vale's development. It's just an overall terrible situation, made worse by the previous year's financial emergencies from unexpected home damage destroying my savings and credit.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As much as I hate to do it, especially in today's world where so much is going wrong for so many, I have to ask for help. I am asking for donations to help keep our house and the ability to cover general expenses while I help give my family the care they need in both of their difficult situations. Anything helps to alleviate the stress from outside while we continue to see how Nikki progresses and Vale grows. Even if it's just sharing this Gofundme or through my Discogs/eBay/Substack where I am continuing to list much of my music and personal collection accumulated through four decades in music and the arts.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I hate to ask for help again, but there is no other choice while we fight many battles on several fronts. Thank you for anything you can do.
</div>

Aid for Nikki's Final Expenses and Vale's Care

<div>My name is Paul, some folks online know me as pablowapsi, the creator of the webcomic Wapsi Square. Back in 2006 when our son was born he arrived in the world with his esophagus not connected to his stomach and needed several emergency surgeries and over a month stay in the hospital. The webcomic community rallied when they heard about the $10k billed we had after what insurance would pay and managed to more than cover that. I've been forever grateful, and try my best to help others when I can financially, or by boosting awareness to those in need.
</div>
<div>Recently, our son had been experiencing an fatigue and troubling feeling like he couldn't drink enough. One morning, he could barely get up, and we noticed that his eyes were sunken in and his skin color was very pale. We rushed him to the emergency room where after much testing, we were told that he has type 1 diabetes. This was a major shock, and gut punch to say the least. He had to spend several days in the hospital while they monitored him, poked and prodded, all the while he had to wrap his head around this new life he had been saddled with.
</div>
<div>Now we have been informed that after what insurance will cover for all the testing, hospital stay, etc., we again have around $10k that is our responsibility. And thanks to the way insurance has our maximum out of pocket set up, all three of our family would have to meet the maximum out of pocket to count.
</div>
<div>Also, we need to have our son's wisdom teeth removed and that is an additional $1,800 out of pocket.
</div>
<div>I'm asking for your help to cover this medical bill as we are stretched to our limit for were money can come from, and we just don't have any other options. Please help out if you can, either financially, or by spreading the word. Every little bit helps and is greatly appreciated. ^_^
</div>

Support for Our Son's Medical Bills

<div>Hi my name is Faith. I'm making this go fund me because I lost my medical insurance and I'm looking for insurance right now. But having to pay for my medicines and also regular bills I do not have enough. I can't stop just taking schizophrenia medicine, diabetic medicine, high blood pressure medicine and others, but them are my main medicines. I hoping to have insurance by a month. If you could help out it will be much appreciated.

</div>

Faith Needs Your Help for Critical Medicines

<div><strong>It's my 41st birthday on July 8, which also marks 10 years since I became chronically ill. And my biggest wish is to have the time I need to rest, recover, and re-stabilize. </strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hi sweet humans! My name's Margeaux -- but many of you might know me by my Instagram handle <a href="https://www.instagram.com/softcore_trauma" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Softcore Trauma</a> . I'm a chronically ill writer, artist, and educator who is passionate about mental health, social justice, and community building. I’ve spent the last decade researching, writing, and educating about trauma, while on my own healing journey.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In 2016, I began to experience the symptoms of what would later be diagnosed as fibromyalgia: a chronic pain condition that causes widespread pain, brain fog, and chronic fatigue, and is intimately linked to complex trauma. Over the last six months, as my mental health has been in a prolonged state of crisis, my physical health has declined dramatically. I honestly haven't had pain flares of this intensity and duration since I was first ill.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With so many weeks spent in bed, I’ve now also entered a season of financial crisis. In order to gain financial stability, and a life, perhaps, with less or even no pain, I must hustle. And yet it is the hustling that exacerbates the pain, making it impossible for me to achieve financial stability and a body free from pain. The reality is: I need time to rest, recover, and re-stabilize so that I do not reach a state of total debilitation.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>What's also become clear is that even on my best days, I have a limited capacity for work, and must allocate all of my time to creating content for my Instagram, as that is how I make my living. This leaves me with little time to work on projects that would bring greater financial stability into my life, including a YA novel I've been working on.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And so I find myself here, turning to the magic of mutual aid and community care. The money from this GoFundMe would enable me to take two weeks off of work so that my body can get the rest it needs to recover, knowing that I'll still be able to pay my rent in August. From there, I can focus my energy on the book manuscript, while also finishing a DIY version of my 8-week long course on intimacy for those living with trauma.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In order to do this, I will need to pay for someone to manage my social media for me. I wish I could simply take a break from posting altogether. Unfortunately, the platform's algorithm punishes you for taking time away and because this is the main way I promote the work I do in the world, and thus pay my bills, I cannot risk taking that hit.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Anything that I bring in above my initial goal will go towards hiring a business coach who can help me plan for the long-term and realize other dream projects that support your healing.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I truly believe that there is a life in which I'm in less pain -- and your contributions will help make that dream a reality.
</div>

Margeaux's Rest, Recovery, and Re-Stabilization Fund

<div>Our amazing friend, and musician, Bonnie Bloomgarden has been displaced from her home in Altadena. She has always been one to help others, and deeply cares about her community -- so let's show her that same support &amp; love!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>While Bonnie's house is still standing, she is unable to live there, retrieve her car or any belongings due to uninhabitable safety conditions + smoke damage. This has also affected Bonnie's work as a musician while she finds a longterm home for herself + her sweet 15 year old poodle, Tommy.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>These funds will assist with immediate needs &amp; essentials that might not be fully coverage by other sources of aid.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><em>Per GoFundMe, this fundraiser is organized by friends of Bonnie: David Dickenson + Andi Wilson in Seattle, WA. Bonnie will be receiving funds directly and managing them on her own.</em>
</div>

Support for Bonnie after Altadena Fire

<div>In October of 2025, I – along with my field director and friend Andre Martin and four other individuals – was indicted for my advocacy and protest against ICE and this administration. Our case, United States v. Rabbitt, is set to go to trial in Chicago federal court on May 26 and the result could determine the future of our constitutional right to free association. These charges are bogus, but regardless of the outcome, the stress, public scrutiny, and financial burdens of this ordeal have forever changed our lives.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Currently, we are facing up to $250,000 in legal debt. Our lawyers are fantastic and we expect to win our case, which the government argued is a “spontaneous conspiracy” – that conspiracy being peacefully protesting outside of the Broadview ICE facility.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As we and our legal team have said from the beginning, dissent and protest is not a conspiracy. After lengthy legal battles, the government dismissed the felony conspiracy charge just weeks before trial. But they did not dismiss all the charges, and we still have trial on the misdemeanor counts for intimidating, interfering, and impeding an ICE agent.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you are not familiar with myself or my case, I am a 27-year-old researcher and journalist who covers the far-right and ran for Congress in Illinois. Throughout my campaign, I was not just vocal against Donald Trump's secret police, but put my body and reputation on the line during protests. Even if you don’t know my face, you probably saw <a href="https://bsky.app/profile/katmabu.bsky.social/post/3lz6sxfky3s2t" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">this video</a> of an ICE agent throwing me to the ground last September. That is not what we were charged for, but it shows what the conditions at Broadview were often like for protestors.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Andre is 27 as well, worked on my campaign, and has devoted his life to helping others through progressive advocacy, particularly surrounding the unhoused. We both love science fiction, petting cats, and cooking increasingly difficult recipes. We’ve worked in the nonprofit sector and progressive politics our entire adult lives – which is largely why we don’t have hundreds of thousands (much less mere thousands) of dollars to spare. We’re people with lives and futures and loved ones.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Even if – or rather, when – we win our trial, our lives and futures will be left in disarray. The administration is using prosecution as a cudgel to ruin dissenting Americans’ lives through the financial and psychological burdens of our legal system. Times are unbelievably difficult right now, so I tried to avoid asking others for money, especially after many donated to our campaign after the indictment for our legal defense. That was a lifeline, but the costs have mounted beyond our expectations.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you are someone who cares about the Constitution and First Amendment, hates what Donald Trump and his cronies are doing to this country, and has the resources to aid us in our fight against this unjust prosecution, we are asking for your help.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>All contributions will go to our legal defense, personal debt accrued over the past 6 months in an effort to pay our lawyers, and anything left will go to the National Lawyers Guild, which helped us find our representation and protects our First Amendment rights every single day through representation, jail support, and trained legal observers.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you to everyone who supported us over the last 6 months. And thank you for helping us win.
</div>

Stand with Kat and Andre Against Unjust Prosecution

<div>I'm Josh PM, former general manager of the Silver Sprocket publisher and shop. <strong>My coworkers and I are being laid off by the owner of the company as they close the shop we work at very suddenly.</strong> We're looking to raise money to support ourselves while we search for new jobs and apply for unemployment benefits.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We truly loved serving the roster of Silver Sprocket artists, building community, and curating a unique selection of books and zines. It was a special place, a creative job, and we will miss it deeply.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We have calculated the amount we’re asking for based on what would be approximately two months of wages for each of us. We
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We will note: Silver Sprocket is planning to provide us with a severance, which we deeply appreciate, but living in the Bay Area and losing our healthcare and other benefits are difficult hurdles to overcome.
</div>

<div>Thank <strong>you </strong>for all the support, even if it's just sharing and boosting the signal, we really appreciate it!

Support Silver Sprocket Shop Staff After Sudden Layoffs

<div>I’m Georgia, a queer disabled comics artist and teacher. I have struggled my whole life with chronic health issues, and undiagnosed disability (until the age of 35), making my work and finances incredibly unstable.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>On February 1st, I emailed my employer asking for an HR process to resolve issues with his behaviour. On February 4th, my employer responded by heaping intense and inappropriate praise onto me, and cancelling my contract citing incompatibility.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>With one email and no notice, I lost 50% of my income for the year.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>The communication between us that followed is disturbing, confusing, and ultimately a massive manipulation and abuse of power.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Until this happened, I considered my employer to be a friend and trusted collaborator, as he has supported me through work and friendship as I experienced massive fluctuations in my health over the last 5 years. That relationship is irreparably broken, and so I am forced to prematurely end my other contract with him, which represents the other 50% of my income for the year.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>He has not faced a single consequence for his actions, while I have had my life brought to the brink of collapse.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>In 2024, I experienced a profoundly disabling autistic burnout and was

</div>

<div>unable to work for almost a year. My finances, and my life structure, were decimated by this health experience, and this is why I signed on to work so intensively this year with a podcast and a new teaching program, to stabilize my life and pay the expenses that have grown because I missed so many payments during my burnout. It costs so much money to come back from that. But I had a plan, and set income in the form of two contracts with this employer — and I did nothing wrong, but it’s all gone now.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>The stress of this betrayal has reduced me to needing friends to help with every day tasks for basic functioning, let alone the added work of trying to get accountability and justice from the people responsible for empowering this man without oversight.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>While I am well-supported by my friends, the main thing I need to survive this is money.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>I need…

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>$2,000 to get my home insurance back

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>$9,000 my bills paid for at least 3 months (my fees have all gone up since I defaulted during my last burnout)

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>$3,000 for physical psychological therapy to restore my baseline and process this trauma (over 3 months)

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>$1,000 to take my podcast back from this man (hosting, domain, and website fees for the next year)

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>So far, this experience has destroyed my sense of trust in choosing collaborators, and any sense that the world has my back is deeply strained.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>I want to nurture and support myself to not carry these feelings beyond this person. I’m asking for help to get through this with a new sense of trust and capability — if you know me, you already know I’ll pay it forward beyond measure.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Thanks for being here.

</div>

Help me recover from financial abuse

<div>I'm really embarrassed to ask this.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I currently don't have rent, or money for bills, and I'm really scared. I don't know what will happen, if I can't come up with that money soon. I'm so close to getting my life back on track, after this past while of my life being turned upside down. I know this is horrible to ask, but if you can spare anything, it'd make a world of difference for me.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I've been frantically trying to climb out of this hole, and while I can see the sunlight at the top, I'm currently terrified.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The stress of all of this, is making work very difficult, so I'll be often streaming my Goblins drawing, as having friendly people around, really helps me keep the stressiness down. Very soon, I want to also stream my upcoming 'Button Battles' Twitch game, in which I run the chatters through mini dungeon crawls. I've been putting a lot of work into the game, and I hope it'll be a lot of fun for everyone and just sorta... help hold me together. Here's my <a href="https://www.twitch.tv/ellipsis_goblins" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Twitch channel</a> , for those interested.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Whether you donate or not, I hope you all have the bestest ever holiday season!
</div>

Things Are Kinda Falling Apart

<div><br />
</div>
<div>"In April of 2022 Pete and I went to the emergency room in hopes of getting migraine medication for a relentless headache he'd been having. It had been a month of pain, nothing was working, and the health insurance from his new job still hadn't kicked in. Instead of a migraine, it turned out Peter had a large tumor in his frontal lobe. A craniotomy was performed to remove the mass, and he was diagnosed with grade four Glioblastoma Multiforme, a particularly aggressive and terminal brain cancer. Ever since, we've been navigating all of the changes and treatments as privately as possible. This might be the first time many of you are hearing, but if you know Pete, you know he is strong and stubborn and deeply uncomfortable with the idea of people bringing over a casserole or asking whether he needs anything. It's been isolating. Most people were beginning to relax their covid protocols as we were intensifying ours, separating us from our community. After radiation, months of chemo, and a trial drug through UCSF, the tumor came back in February. Another brain surgery and many more medications followed, but the tumors have continued to progress. Pete and I got married May 20th after more than ten years together. It was a beautiful day I will never forget. In the last year we took a few small trips, we had some hard conversations, we treated each other sweetly. Now things have changed again.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Two weeks ago, July 27th, he had a large seizure that took the time I hoped we had left. He is in a stage that is a lot like dementia, here but not here. This is such a heartbreaking loss on so many levels as Pete's analytical mind, pragmatism, and sweetness kept everything blooming around us. I can't stop thinking about his recipes, his wines, his art, he was the keeper of so much of our history. He remembered every place we ever went, restaurants, freeways, and
</div>
<div>dates. The world suddenly feels like a much smaller place without the wisdom of this man I love so much. I'm not the only person reeling from change at the end stage of this disease. Pete is so well loved by his big family and many friends, having played in bands for years, operating his record label, working with Maximum Rocknroll for more than twenty years, etc., we've been lucky enough to have people rallying to offer the around the clock care he needs to stay comfortable now.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>However, I have a few more asks. Please don't reach out to him directly now, but leave a message for him here, or message me with something you would like me to share with him: a memory or a well wish. I might not text you back, I'm exhausted and overwhelmed most days, I can't seem to remember much of anything anymore, but know I will share every word. Also if you are able to offer any financial support it would go a long way for food, care, upcoming funeral expenses, THERAPY, and every other thing you can imagine that comes up in a time like this. Thank you so much for considering, we love y'all so much. "
