My name is Eriberto, and my family and I are facing an unexpected crisis here in Massachusetts — the only home I have known for 26 years. For the past seven years, I have proudly worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts at a state university, serving students and supporting our community. My parents and I have always believed in doing things the right way: working hard, paying taxes, and contributing to the place we call home. Today, due to a government processing delay, three working adults in our household — my parents and I — are being forced to stop working at the same time. Our work permits and driver's licenses expire in March, even though we filed our renewals on time and our applications are currently pending with USCIS. This situation is not the result of missed deadlines or mistakes — it is an administrative delay beyond our control. What this means for our family: three incomes lost at once, rent, utilities, and groceries still due, and our health and financial stability at risk. We have always supported ourselves, and asking for help is incredibly difficult. But this sudden gap in income is something we cannot manage alone. Your donation will help us cover essential expenses during this temporary period: rent and utilities, groceries and household essentials, transportation costs, health-related expenses, and basic financial obligations. Our goal is to remain stable until our work authorization is restored so we can secure employment again and rebuild our stability. If you are able to help, whether through a donation or by sharing our story, we are deeply grateful. Your support will help our family stay housed, fed, and hopeful during this difficult time. Thank you for standing with our family during this difficult and uncertain time. — Eriberto & Family
