Hi, I’m Emma, and I created this fundraiser to help my grandma, Diane Avery, and the 43+ rescued dogs who depend on her. In 2016, my grandma started rescuing animals because she has always had an incredible heart for animals in need. She originally rescued horses, but after seeing how severe the mistreatment and abandonment of dogs was in our El Paso, southern New Mexico, and Juárez communities, she shifted her focus to helping dogs who had nowhere else to go. For nearly a decade, Diane has dedicated her life and her own resources to rescuing and caring for these animals. She has spent her life savings keeping this rescue going because she could never turn away a dog in need. Now, she has reached a point where there is simply nothing left for her to give financially, and my family has also reached our limits while doing everything we can to help. Today, there are more than 43 dogs living at the rescue, and we desperately need help finding them safe, loving homes. ### Our Biggest Goal Our goal is to find homes and safe placements for these dogs before we run out of resources to care for them. We don't want a situation where healthy, loving dogs have to be turned away—or worse, euthanized—simply because there isn't enough money, space, or help to keep them safe. Your donation will help us keep these dogs fed and cared for while we work to find permanent homes, foster families, and other safe placements for them. ### Your Donation Can Help With: Food and daily supplies Veterinary care and medications Emergency veterinary bills Vaccinations and preventative care Transportation and placement costs Cleaning and kennel supplies Hiring help to feed, clean, walk, and care for the dogs Helping dogs get to fosters, adopters, or other rescues And if we are fortunate enough to raise more than what is immediately needed for these 43 dogs, we want to use that support to help other animals in need, assist other local rescues, help dogs find safe places to go, and make sure emergency veterinary care is available when an animal desperately needs it. This rescue was built on one woman's belief that every dog deserves a chance. Now, Diane needs our community to help carry that mission forward. These dogs didn't choose to be abandoned, neglected, or forgotten. They deserve the chance to live—not to lose their lives because the people caring for them ran out of resources.
