Growing up in a small apartment with her mother and two younger brothers, she learned early what sacrifice looked like. Her mother worked long overnight shifts at a nursing home just to keep food on the table and the lights on. Despite this, she continued attending classes and maintaining good grades because she refuses to give up on her dream.
