<div>Hello! My name is Carolina and I was recently accepted into a two-year Creative Writing program at <em>the</em> Oxford University that only opens 15 spots per year.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>About Me:</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I'm from a small town in Portugal. I'm 23 and the oldest of five sisters. I'm the first in my family to go to university. I studied Journalism at Lusófona University and Korean at NOVA University, both in Lisbon.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My dream is to write. I've had both poetry and essays published in over 15 magazines from all around the world. I also won a national poetry competition. I'm going to be a NY Times Best-Selling author.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I have Persistent Depressive Disorder. People with depression are 10-30% less likely to attend/graduate college. But I got into Oxford and I will never stop fighting to prove people with depression can win too.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Money Specifics:</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Although I have my savings, it's still not enough to pay for first-year tuition + the first 3 months of rent at my student accomodation, which requires an upfront deposit.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>All the money donated will go directly to my matriculation and tuition fees. As I am an overseas student, first-year tuition is around 8143€.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Once that is paid, all the excess money will go into living costs. Estimated living costs for students are around 15,000€ per year, as written in Oxford's website, and this includes things like housing, food, and transportation.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am currently applying for all scholarships I can find and looking into student-funding provided by the UK government. I'm also already looking for jobs in the UK starting as early as August. My classes start September 26th.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you're reading this, thank you so much for your time and attention. Every penny counts and I'm forever grateful.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Oxford is something I have consistently worked towards for half of my life and I will do anything to go there. It is my life-long dream.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Much love,
</div>
<div>Carolina

Help Me Study at Oxford University!

<div>Olá a todos!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Já contactei inúmeras instituições, obtive algumas respostas, das quais apenas 2 se disponibilizaram a analisar a situação. Contudo, sei que a parte burocrática é mais demorada, e apesar deste GO FUND ME ser a minha última opção, senti que valia a pena pelo menos tentar.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
