<div> My name is Jacqueline I am writing to provide a formal statement regarding a sophisticated online task-based job scam that I have fallen victim to, resulting in devastating financial losses.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In August and September2025, I was contacted/ I saw an advertisement for a online job opportunity that involved rating food orders from my home during my spare time. I was intrigued by the prospect of earning extra income, as I am a single parent with a 11-year-old child and have been struggling to save money for essential home improvements.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I was sent extensive information and the opportunity appeared legitimate. I completed a training period. My initial experiences seemed positive:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>· On my first day, after a few hours of work, I earned £30 plus an £8 bonus. I was able to withdraw this £38 successfully to my bank account.
</div>
<div>· The second and third days were similarly successful, and I was able to withdraw a further £250.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This built my trust in the platform. On the fourth day, the system introduced "bonus boxes." I selected one and received a £60 bonus, which reinforced the idea that this was a genuine way to earn money.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>However, the situation changed drastically later that day. While working on my third set of tasks, a pop-up called a "Haute Cuisine" bonus appeared, which promised to multiply my commission by 5x. Upon selecting it, my account balance immediately went into a negative deficit of -£118.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I contacted my assigned agent by the name of Frida, who had trained me. They informed me that to continue working and to be able to withdraw any funds in the future, I was required to "top up" my account to clear the negative balance. Believing this to be a strange but legitimate part of the process, I deposited £118.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This began a cycle of manipulation and extortion:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>· Shortly after I topped up, another "Haute Cuisine" bonus appeared, putting my balance to -£388. I topped up again as instructed.
</div>
<div>· This was followed by a third "Haute Cuisine," resulting in a -£665 deficit. I topped up again.
</div>
<div>· A fourth "Haute Cuisine" bonus created a negative balance of -£1,177, which I also topped up.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The agent consistently assured me that this was normal and that completing more tasks would allow me to recover my money and profit. The only way to access my funds was to bring the balance back to positive by depositing more money. This felt like a never-ending cycle designed to trap me.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I continued to follow instructions under immense pressure until my total losses reached nearly £33,000. I had emptied my personal savings and maxed out my credit cards to make these payments.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>When I begged them to release my money, they stated I would have to pay a further 15% fee to withdraw my funds. It was at this point I realized it was a scam. In a state of desperation and to try and recover the lost funds, I borrowed money from family, friends, and work colleagues.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I have always been known as a financially responsible and careful person. I was deceived by sophisticated criminals who exploited my desire to improve my family's home and life. The money I lost was intended for critical renovations to my 35-year-old bathroom and kitchen.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My money is now shown as being stuck on a fraudulent platform with no way to withdraw it. I am in significant debt and am deeply distressed by the impact this will have on my family and my financial future.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am prepared to provide any further information, including screenshots, transaction records, and communication logs with the scammers, to assist with any investigation. This is to show you how these people are ruthless.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am begging for help, support, and direction to navigate this situation.
</div>
