<div>Social security is once again taking my benefits away. This time they claim that I owe them almost $46k and they've completely stopped my disability payments that I (and my roommate) need to get by. I work part time, but it is not enough. I'm currently in the middle of appealing their decision and reapplying for my SSDI but my next phone appointment with them isn't until May 15.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It was suggested to me that I apply for temp disability via EDD, but when I tried I got an error saying records did not match and to call them, but when I did I just got the AI robot which in the end said that a representative had reached the max amount of calls for the day and to use the automated system, which hung up on me because there were no options that could help me. I'm thinking they're gong to be discriminatory because of the 'X' under 'sex' on my state ID. Either way I'll have no money for next month, and I'm already in the red for this month. I'm currently looking for is help with my rent for May which is $1,525 along with any added expenses. Goal may be raised if the appeal drags out.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Remember my roommate and I are both disabled, and I'm a trans/non-binary, Hispanic little person. I'm the only one that is currently working part-time and my hours (currently) are maxing out at 12 hours a week. I'd been trying to keep my work hours low so this exact situation doesn't happen. We do not have family in the area and my roommate has been deemed medically unfit for work. He's been trying to apply for social security but he has twice gotten randomly kicked off just in the beginning applying process (never even had a person speak with him).
</div>
<div>Any and all help we'd be so grateful for.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We also have a cat named Panzer who has been worrying over both of us since this happened.

Help Us Cover Rent (& expenses) During Disability Appeal

<p>On Saturday, July 18th, Sean was detained by ICE on his way to support his husband’s Pride performance.
</p><br />
<p>What was supposed to be a day of celebration, love, and visibility turned into a nightmare. With warm regards and high hopes to resolve this matter and get Sean back to his life and loved ones - his friends, his family, and husband - have come together to create this initiative to fundraise for the immediate needs that will arise during the devastating and extensive process now underway.
</p><br />
<p>Any amount you can give to this cause is a blessing and a step toward Sean’s safety and wellbeing. Other powerful ways to help include sharing this fundraiser, leaving a comment of support, and spreading the word by any means of outreach you have: social media, email, group chats, or community networks.
</p><br />
<p>We know everyone is facing their own challenges, and we don’t take your attention or generosity for granted. Your support, whether through donations, shares, or words of encouragement, means the world to Sean, his husband, and all of us who love him.
</p><br />
<p>We thank you for your love, compassion, and support during these difficult times. We truly believe that together, all things are possible - and that with your help, Sean can return to his life, his home, and his husband.
</p><br />
<p>Sincerely,
</p>

Help Sean Stay with His Husband in the US

<div>Hi everyone,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>To those who don't know us, we're the Frost Family - Dominic, Brienne, and our daughter Lorelei. In April of this year, <strong>Dominic was sent to the ER for a cardiac episode that has resulted in a few long-term health issues that we continue to struggle with today.</strong> We've been doing our best to make it through, but have faced a few significant challenges in the recovery process, and those challenges have now come to a head.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Due to issues at Dominic's work, at the time of the Cardiac Episode Dominic did not have any health insurance coverage. We thought that we did, but when he transferred departments at his job in late 2023, we were never informed that the transfer meant that the health insurance provided by his previous position would no longer be valid. It has been a constant uphill battle since then to get his new position's manager to offer affordable insurance, and they have also blocked any efforts that we have made to get insurance coverage through the state. We have been trying to make things work for the past few months, but have hit nothing but stone walls.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This afternoon, the Hospital lost patience and served Dominic with a court summons. They are demanding to be paid, and we simply cannot afford the amount of money that they are demanding from us.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>We need your help.</strong> Those who know us well know that we loathe asking for financial assistance, but we are now hitting a level of desperation that we can no longer allow our pride to keep us from leaning on our community. We have a daughter who needs us to be able to afford to house her and send her to school, and we cannot have this medical debt hit risk our ability to afford housing. 6000 is the minimum we need to stay afloat, but we could use as much as we can possibly raise to dig us out of this hole that we have found ourselves in. We wish that we could offer more pay you back for your assistance, but we are finding ourselves rapidly running out of options. Anything you can donate would be deeply appreciated as we try to keep our family together.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you so much for all of your love and support. Even if you can't afford to donate directly, even just sharing this with generous communities would be a true godsend.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With all the love and gratitude,
</div>

Help the Frost Family Overcome Medical Debt

<div>I'm disabled and nonbinary. I can't get disability in my (red) state because the rules and regulations are purposely made to make it hard to get. I'm basically stuck where I am with no resources of my own.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I'm 35 years old and I take care of my mother who has MS. Our relationship can be rocky at times and I'd like to have a nest egg to be able to leave if I need to. Any little bit helps.
