<div><strong>"We are long past the point of enough already."</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My name is Emily Waugh and I am kickstarting a women's relay style walk across the country.
</div>
<div>We are walking because we refuse to behave as if any of this is normal!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I was getting more angry, anxious and frustrated and I needed to do something. I knew that women needed a visible demonstration that could not be ignored.
</div>
<div>So, I decided to start walking.
</div>
<div>My hope is to inspire 1000's of women into action to tell the government that <strong>WOMEN WILL NOT BE SILENCED</strong>!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The sycophants in Congress are trying to implement Trump's desperate attempt to rig the 2026 midterms - laughably named the SAVE America Act - at least partially by jeopardizing the voting rights of millions of married women whose last name no longer matches their birth certificate. The Heritage Foundation, the architect of our current government collapse, has released a new report this year - Saving America by Saving the Family: A Foundation for the Next 250 Years - which seems to suggest that America's problems today can be boiled down to women having too many choices: too much access to healthcare, higher education, and career opportunity. Already, legislation stripping us of that access to healthcare proliferates, not just in red states, but in the halls of the United States Congress. All the while, the Epstein Files remain the horrific gaping wound that they are: a massive trove of documents that lays out for us just how unsafe and disrespected women and girls in this country really are. Every day without accountability for the perpetrators reminds us exactly where our government's priorities lie.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>They want us to move on and forget all about it. We will not. They are making increasingly desperate attempts at distracting us. We'll show them just how long our memory is.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are walking to Washington DC to demand accountability and change. We will make sure they know that this isn't going away with the next news cycle, or the next, or the next.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We're so far beyond fed up. We're angry and scared and exhausted, but mostly, we are unwilling to let it go.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>THE VISION:</strong>
</div>
<div>Believing that action is the antidote to anxiety, we endeavor to offer the women filled with anxiety and anger at the state of our world right now something to do with that feeling. We are looking for like-minded women - the ones who can't stand to stay home and go about life as normal one more day. Let's build relationships between women who refuse to be silent.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We'll share our grief, burn off our anger, and remind ourselves of our power over every mile we travel. With each person that joins us, our strength will grow exponentially. Together we'll deliver a powerful message to Washington. We will not be ignored.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our walk started on March 29th from Salem, Oregon and we will be in Washington DC by midterm elections. My mother and I started this walk together and others have joined us. We plan to relay-style this walk - literally passing the baton to other women as we cross the country, returning as often as we can to the group ourselves.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>This group endeavor is entirely run by volunteers!</strong>
</div>
<div>We are asking for all kinds of support to help us reach DC.
</div>
<div>All your financial donations will fund the support needs of our walkers:
</div>
<div>Campsite reservations
</div>
<div>Hotels as needed, when possible
</div>
<div>Fuel for support vehicles and camp stoves
</div>
<div>Medical support/first aid kits
</div>
<div>Food/Meals
</div>
<div>Water and other basic supplies to keep us safe and fed on this journey.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you cannot donate financially, but would like to walk or support in other ways please see our website where you can contact us. We need walkers, support people and vehicles, and volunteers to help us in many other ways.
