The overwhelming amount of love, sympathy and support from the Fells Point community for Ziti has been immeasurable. Thank you all so much for your kindness.<br /><br />Our small committee is honored to help organize a Celebration of Life for Ziti. We are very close to finalizing some last details concerning the who, when, what etc. <br /><br />That being said, regardless of when and where this may be, there will be some costs incurred during the planning and execution process. With the help of some amazing neighbors, we will have some in-kind donations, food, and the like. Celebrate Ziti-A Memorial For Michael Maraziti

As many of us in Baltimore are aware, there was a terrible incident in Fells Point in the early morning hours of Saturday, February 6th. Outside of one of our local bars, DogWatch Tavern, Jill was the unfortunate victim  and she needs our support. <br /><br />Jill and her husband, CJ, have an incredibly long and hard road of recovery ahead of them. The list of injuries that she sustained is long and she will likely require many surgeries. They need our help to get them through this challenging time. <br /><br />One thing that Baltimore does well is band together to support our neighbors. Please consider helping them in any way that you can. <div>As you may know, a dear friend and an associate of Heavy Seas Beer for 28 years, Bruce Dombeck is facing one of the toughest battles of his life.
</div>

<div>On September 17th, Bruce was taken to the emergency room after experiencing alarming symptoms, which led to the discovery of a malignant brain tumor on his right frontal lobe. Just two days later, he underwent emergency brain surgery to resect as much of the tumor as possible without disturbing brain tissue. During the craniotomy, Bruce unfortunately suffered a stroke and as a result, the left side of his body has significantly decreased motor functions. The pathology report confirmed a diagnosis of a glioblastoma. Bruce is currently receiving intensive medical care, physical therapy, and rehabilitation at Good Samaritan Hospital where he has made incredible strides to regain the motor function and strong cognition he had before the surgery. It is expected that Bruce will begin cancer treatment at Johns Hopkins in the coming weeks while continuing rehabilitation at home.
