A Father’s Plea: Help a Gaza Family Rebuild and Begin Anew
My name is Wesam Abu Daqa. I am a father in the Gaza Strip - a land once full of hope, now shattered by war. I had a home, a livelihood, and dreams for my children’s future. But when the bombs fell and destruction came, everything was lost: our house reduced to rubble, precious land confiscated, and loved ones gone.
Today, my two young children and I survive in a crude tent on the seashore - no walls, no shelter from cold or storms, no guarantee of safety or stability. There is no running water, no electricity, and often no proper food. Our days are defined by hunger and uncertainty. Every sunrise brings the same question: how will we survive until the next?
I reach out to you now, with nothing but hope in my heart, asking for a chance to rebuild a life worthy of my children. I dream of a modest but safe home - four walls and a roof - where my children can sleep peacefully, play, and know what it means to feel secure again. I dream of being able to feed them, give them clean water, and protect them from the cold and fear.
With your support, I also wish to start a small project - something simple, honest - that can give us a steady source of income. That way, I can provide for my family with dignity, not just for a week or a month, but for years to come.
Your kindness - no matter how small - can turn despair into hope. It can mean the difference between another night in a tent and a place we can call home. It can give my children a chance to grow up in safety, stability, and dignity.
In these darkest hours for Gaza, your compassion becomes our lifeline. From the depths of my broken heart, I thank you for considering to help us rebuild - not just a house - but a future.
May you be blessed for your generosity.
