<div>I’ve always had a love for the mountains. Over the years, I’ve climbed Snowdon, Scafell Pike, and Ben Nevis — several times each.

<div>There’s something about standing at the top of a peak, looking out over the world, that fills me with perspective and purpose.

<div>But this next challenge? It’s on another level entirely.

<div>Everest Base Camp will push me further than I’ve ever gone before — physically, mentally, and emotionally. Over 15 days, I’ll trek more than 130+ kilometres through the Himalayas, reaching an altitude of 5,364 metres above sea level.

<div>The terrain will be tough, the air thin, and the journey long — but every step will be driven by something far greater than adventure alone.

<div>Teenagers shouldn’t have to face something as devastating as cancer alone.

<div>The Teenage Cancer Trust provides specialist nurses, emotional support, and age-appropriate care so that every young person gets the help and understanding they deserve during the hardest time of their life.
</div>

</div>
<div>As I take on this journey, I’ll be thinking of those young people — their courage, their strength, and their determination. Compared to the battles they face every day, climbing a mountain feels small.

Trekking to Everest for Teenage Cancer Trust

<div>I don't really know what one is supposed to say in these situations, talking with others has always been difficult and uncomfortable for me so I'll start with my name. Hello everyone, I'm Kairo I'm raising money for my husband who has been suffering with Lyme disease for almost 10 years now. He originally got sick while working when we lived in BC, Canada, it cost him a job he loved very much and for years we had no idea what was wrong. He had to leave many other jobs due to his illness over the years, he was diagnosed with many different things all within different Doctors fields, but he never got even the slightest bit better. We later moved to SK, Canada and he got a job and pushed through his unknown illness which eventually made it worse to the point where it was difficult for him to even walk some days. Up until recently we didn't know what was wrong, in February 2024 we went to a microblood analysis in SK, Canada and found out that he has Lyme Disease. We have since moved to the US for treatment as we have more opportunities for treatment

<div>and family and friends here that he can get the emotional support he needs during all of this. I really didn't know how much to ask for it seems like $100 means nothing anymore.
