Brinlee Kennedy

Hello everyone! My name is Brinlee and this summer I am marching Drum Corps International with River City Rhythm! Doing DCI has always been a difficult concept for me to wrap my head around, and for many years I said, "I could never do that, I'm not strong enough," but this year I wanted to try something out of my comfort zone and do the thing that I've been nervous about. This summer, I will go away for 2 and a half months touring and competing all over the country. Music has been a huge part of my life for the past 6 years. Because of music, I've become an education major, I've taught 5 different groups, and I've gained a lot of my confidence in life all because of the music community. I've found that the most rewarding and special things in life cost a lot more than they should. I really need help to be able to participate this season. Donating to me will help me get new shoes, transportation costs, correct clothes, hygiene supplies, and other things I'll need to buy while I'm away. The dues themselves are what make everything so expensive because of the travel costs, feeding 200 people, and competition fees.
