<div>It comes with deep sadness and pain to bare the unfortunate news that my mother’s battle with brain cancer is coming to an end. A few days ago, our family was told that her prognosis is very limited, as the cancer has started to grow more aggressively. Unfortunately, treatment options are no longer effective. The only option left available to her is targeted radiation therapy, and even with this, we are told there is a very low chance it will be effective. As mentioned before, her time is limited to a few months, and if radiation is successful, this may prolong her a few more months. The growth of the tumor is taking away a lot from her, both cognitively and physically. With this being said, I am starting this GoFundMe with the intention of planning for the worst, although I am hoping and praying for the best.

<div>This past year and a half has taken a lot from our family—mentally, spiritually, and of course, financially. But still, we fight. With medical bills piling up even while being insured, and having to quit my job to be my mother’s full-time caretaker, things have been tremendously hard. It even pains me to start this page, because my mother always taught me independence and the value of working hard. With my mother’s cognitive and physical decline the inevitable ls approaching.

<div>This GoFundMe is intended to raise money for funeral costs and to ease the burden of some of the medical debt we have endured. My mother is my superhero. She is my biggest inspiration. She is my best friend. The purest love I ever felt was from her. If we lived a 1000 other lives I would sacrifice everything to have her as my mom each and every time. To put it simply I just want to give my mother the proper memorial she deserves. My mother dedicated her life to helping others. She served 30+ years as a teaching assistant working with children with special needs. She was active in giving back to her community through charity and her church fellowship. To those of you who know her, you all know the type of person my mother is, the type  to give you her lunch if you didn't bring one. Our family asks humbly for any help you can provide.
