Travon Giddings

My name is Travon Giddings, a police officer from Antigua and Barbuda. I am raising funds to help cover the cost of a prosthetic limb, reconstructive surgery overseas, and physiotherapy, which have been medically recommended to restore my mobility and independence. This level of care is not available locally, and the financial cost is beyond my means. While responding to duty on May 25th, 2025, I was shot multiple times. Although doctors were able to save my life after several surgeries, complications from my injuries resulted in the amputation of my right leg. My survival was described as a miracle. Before this incident, I was deeply passionate about bodybuilding, proudly representing my country in competitions across the Caribbean, and later serving as a K9 police officer. Losing my leg was devastating, both physically and emotionally, and the months that followed were filled with struggle and adjustment. With the support of my partner, family, friends, and my renewed faith, I found hope again. I am slowly rebuilding my life, returning to the gym, driving, and finding joy in simple things. Through research and hearing others’ success stories, I’ve learned how a prosthetic limb could dramatically improve my quality of life and allow me to walk independently again. All donations will go directly toward my prosthetic limb, reconstructive surgery, rehabilitation and future Medical Care.
