Hi everyone, my name is Shey, and I’m reaching out because I’m currently going through one of the most difficult periods of my life, both medically and financially. I never imagined I would have to ask for help with basic necessities, but right now I’m doing everything I can to get through this difficult chapter while focusing on my health. I was born with multiple congenital medical conditions and have undergone more than 30 surgeries throughout my lifetime. Most recently, I underwent major abdominal surgery that resulted in a permanent ileostomy. My recovery has been challenging, and the changes to my health have significantly affected my ability to work and support myself. In addition to recovering from surgery, I live with fibromyalgia, chronic pain, mobility limitations, and other ongoing health complications that require frequent medical care. Some days I rely on a walker, and even everyday tasks can be exhausting. I’m doing my best to stay independent and keep moving forward, but right now my health makes that much harder than it used to be. I am currently waiting for my Social Security Disability hearing, and until that process is resolved, my income is extremely limited. I’m struggling to keep up with basic living expenses while also dealing with medical needs and recovery. There have been times when I’ve had to worry about having enough groceries, household necessities, and the supplies I need to manage my health. Any funds raised will help me stay afloat while I work toward getting back on stable ground. The money will go toward rent and utilities, groceries and household necessities, medical and ostomy supplies, transportation to medical appointments, and other essential expenses. Even a small donation can help take some of the pressure off while I focus on my health and recovery. Asking for help is not easy for me, but I’m reaching out because I truly need it right now. If you’re able to donate, even $5, $10, or $20 would mean so much to me. If you’re not in a position to donate, simply sharing my fundraiser can help me reach someone who may be able to. Every donation, share, and kind message makes a difference, and I’m incredibly grateful to anyone who takes the time to support me. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for caring about what I’m going through. I’m hoping this fundraiser can give me some breathing room while I continue fighting for my health, my independence, and a more stable future. With gratitude, Shey
