On September 15th, Vanessa was tragically struck and killed by a driver, leaving behind her loving husband and three children. Vanessa was a devoted wife to Tim Wheyland, an incredible mother to Maryann, Isaiah. and Eivan, and a cherished friend whose love and presence touched so many people. Her family was her entire world, and this devastating loss has left everyone who loved her heartbroken.

In the midst of this sudden and unimaginable loss, the community is being asked to surround Vanessa's husband and children with love and support. Donations will help cover expenses, immediate household needs, and the ongoing care and support of Vanessa's three children as the family begins navigating life without her.

Because these needs will continue beyond the first days of grief, recurring donations can provide steady support for Vanessa's children over time. One-time gifts are also deeply appreciated and will help ease some of the immediate financial burden on the family.

No amount is too small. If you are unable to donate, please share this fundraiser and keep Vanessa's husband, children, and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers. Vanessa was deeply loved, and she will be deeply missed.

Dear Friends and Family, I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart.

As many of you may know, my sister Carolyn and her husband Earl have tragically lost everything unexpectedly. They are safe, but their home and all of their belongings have been destroyed.

In this incredibly difficult time, we are reaching out to ask for your support. Any donation, big or small, would go a long way in helping them with moving forward in their lives. Your contributions will help cover immediate needs such as any essential supplies and longer-term recovery efforts.

If you're able to help, please donate, every little bit makes a difference, and your kindness and generosity mean the world to them.

Thank you for your love and support during this challenging time.

Doug Pitzer left this world too soon on Friday, August 11th, 2023. He was a big man with an even bigger heart, and was working for the community until the very end. Doug was always there for those around him, but didn’t set up safeguards for himself or his family. Without life insurance, and having been financially reliant on Doug and his Business, the family is left in unstable condition. Doug was heartbroken over the tragedy which struck West Maui, and would have been a major proponent in the future of rebuilding Lahaina. Help them keep their business alive so they can help rebuild our community.

Help the Pitzer family with their loss

Aloha out there. As you may know by now, the fires of Lahaina were devastating to all of Lahaina Maui and the island community. Many of you might be wondering if the legendary surfboard shaper Bob “Ole” Olson survived the fires. Yes...he just made it out alive with the help of a young couple that helped Bev get him into their car. They grabbed the cats and dog and not much else. He has lost his home, shaping room/business, and storage unit . In the dash out the door even his hearing aids and glasses were left behind. Can you imagine starting from scratch at 93 years old? As we are all wondering how can we help, this would be a worthy cause to donate to! I hope that the community can kokua and help him to land on his feet. He has shared the stoke with so many surfers with his longboards over the decades that I hope we can all help him now.

I'm a longtime friend of Bob & Bev's from Kuau and hope to help them recover from the Lahaina wildfires. All funds will go directly to Bob Olson and Bev for all living expenses such as rent, food and medical. Any size donation would be so amazing as he and his wife Beverly Johnson start to rebuild their life. Sending aloha to all of you out there and especially those on the Westside.

On behalf of his fellow crewmembers, we are fundraising for Ray and his family who have lost everything due to the fires in Lahaina.

They are currently without a home & all of their belongings have been burned. They will need to have everything replaced as they slowly build their lives back up from this tragedy. Although we are unable to replace everything they've lost, we are hoping to make this transition for them as bearable as possible.

Ray is the most kindhearted, selfless individual who loves his family more than anything. He splits his time between Maui & New York, sacrificing being away from home so he can work & help his parents with additional expenses as he also has a special needs brother. Although he & his family are both prideful & humble, they are having a difficult time accepting help. However, given this circumstance, I know they would graciously appreciate any support & comfort they can get.

100% of donations will go directly to Ray to help with any & all costs towards necessities such as clothes & food, as well as medical expenses & temporary housing. If you are unable to make a monetary donation, we kindly ask that you please share this link and spread the word so we can help the Velasco family get back on their feet. Mahalo!

Lagree Fit & Versa Fit is a small family owned and operated fitness studio in beautiful South Oceanside. We truly have the most amazing team and community here. We come to the studio everyday not just to get in a great workout, but we come to the studio to be with each other, our friends, our family, our community! It is way more more than just a workout for us!

As you all know, we had to close our doors on March 16th due to COVID-19. We did this voluntarily, we did this for the well being of everyone in our community, our family. This affects so many of us in so many ways. As business owners, we have taken the appropriate measures to ensure that we will survive this storm. There are many resources for small business owners during this tough time.

However, our amazing team of instructors, the girls who come in to the studio daily to lift you all up, they are the ones who truly need our help. Many of them have no income coming in during the closures. It is time for us to come together and support them.

We will be working hard form home, providing you with in home "Lagree style" classes during our closure. These videos are FREE for you to use. If you would like to help support your instructors, please leave a small donation here for them. 100% of the funds raised here will go directly to them!!!

This means the pressure on Kristen's skull caused by the growing tumours was considerably less & safer to get our girl back to home-soil safely.

Travel insurance cover isn’t possible as this is a pre-existing condition and while there are options to medivac her to a closer country with appropriate Western medical attention, her oncologist in the United States has recommended Kristen’s immediate and urgent return.

Kristen is going to give this one a hell of a fight for her life, removing the large tumour and commencing what likely will be an intense & invasive treatment plan - we just need to get her from a to b for that to happen. Any donated funds will go directly to Kristen’s immediate journey home to the States, and ongoing medical costs.

With an overwhelming amount of support we received 65K USD in private donations + an increasing number of GoFundMe contributions.

Kristen was transferred to a Singaporean Hospital under the care of a renowned brain surgeon after being transported on medical advice from Bali by Medi Vac air ambulance on the evening of 22 September.

After discussions with both medical teams in Singapore and the United States it was decided to continue with the plan to Medi Vac air ambulance Kristen urgently to the States.

The response from around the globe has been overwhelming and we cannot thank you all enough. We do need more support - and we are asking for all of your assistance. Every penny is needed - help us continue this miracle operation and make the seemingly impossible happen.

With the love, support and generosity of every single person out there we cried tears of joy confirming Kristen was flown home. With enough financial funds needed to secure a Medi-Vac air ambulance, Kristen was transported from Singapore to the United States arriving Sunday 30 September.

A true testament of how the power of love can overcome challenges no matter how impossible they seem! We want to thank each and every one of you for the helping hand - Kristen is now home receiving support from family and friends got her next challenge and the road ahead and this was made possible by the generosity of every person who donated.

We will leave this page open for several more weeks, seeking any donation big or small to assist with Kristen's fight ahead on home soil!

For your information - this GoFundMe IS IN AUD - and any donations made are AUD.

To note: Sarah Abrahams, Kirsten Dineen's employer is managing the funds on Kristen's behalf as nominated by herself.

*** Please note we are aware on statements for people who are contributing that the statement may show 'Shave for a special lady' - this is simply due to the GoFundMe account being set up for a previous campaign - however this is a new campaign and please be assured all funds are will go directly to this cause and Kristen.

Help us get our girl home!

The death of a baby is like a stone cast into the stillness of a quiet pool; the concentric ripples of despair sweep out in all directions, affecting many, many people.
~John DeFrain

Our dear friends Chloe and Nick Pestana suffered the greatest loss December 23, 2017. Their sweet 3 year old son Legend had a rare birth defect that no one knew about where his brain had a tangle of veins and arteries causing a sudden hemorrhage. Doctors tried everything to stabilize but were unable to for this beautiful little boy. Legend transcended this life and went on to be an angel . This is a pain that is impossible to erase, but love and support can help them bear it.

Legend was Chloe and Nick’s third and youngest child. Legend was immensely loved by his two beautiful older sisters, who’s hearts are also incredibly broken, as one can imagine. I ask that we all come together and give what we can to help our friends survive this terrible loss. As you could imagine there are many monetary costs in this situation, and going back to work to support daily life seems unbearable at this time. Please help in any way you can to help ease this amazing family's financial burden as they grieve . This money will go to covering daunting medical bills, end of life costs, lost work time, and supporting their two daughters.

They are in need of your prayers, positive thoughts, and love and healing vibrations.
