<div>Hi, my name is Logan Moore, and I’m the choir teacher at Oakland Middle School in Columbia, Missouri—my first year teaching at the same school I once attended!

<div>I’m working to take about 60 choir students to St. Louis, where they’ll perform for judges and then celebrate their hard work with a day at Six Flags. It’s an exciting, memorable experience—and for many of these students, it’s not something they get to do often.

<div>We’ve already raised about $1,400 through fundraising, which I’m really proud of. But we’re still about $1,000 short of covering our buses—and that is assuming all students can afford their $88 ticket to go. The total cost of the trip is nearly $8000 with all student tickets and transportation.

<div>I’m doing everything I can on my end because I truly believe in what this experience can do for them. It’s not just a trip—it’s a chance to represent their school, build confidence, and be part of something bigger together.

Final Push: Help 60 Oakland Choir Students Get to St. Louis

Iam and Dylan Bracken shared six wonderful years together, marrying in 2021 and building a life filled with love, creativity, and care. Their home was a haven, adorned with art and a backyard oasis, where they nurtured two beloved dogs—Izzy and Perrin—and two cherished cats, Twanda and Luna. Dylan, an avid birdwatcher and lover of animals, was known for his generosity, curiosity, and the joy he brought to friends and family. He delighted in singing, crafting, quilting, gardening, Chinese tongue twisters, always eager to share his passions with others.

 Dylan’s sudden passing has left iam facing not only profound grief but also significant financial uncertainty. As Dylan was the sole provider and iam is disabled, the loss has created immediate challenges in covering living expenses and costs related to Dylan’s death. Delays in accessing life insurance and Dylan’s accounts mean that iam is at risk of losing the stability and comfort of their home during an already difficult time.
