<div>Before displacement, winter meant warmth, family, and safety. Today, it means endless cold and sleepless nights. After being forced from our home, my family and I now live in a fragile tent on bare land. It does not protect us. The wind enters from every side, and the cold reaches my children before I can.

<div>At night, I watch my children shiver because we do not have enough blankets or warm clothes. I feel powerless seeing their small bodies shake, knowing I cannot give them the warmth every child deserves. Sleep is filled with worry  how cold will it get before morning?

<div>When the rain begins, fear replaces hope. Water leaks into the tent, soaking everything we own. Sometimes the floods are so strong that I fear our tent will be swept away. In those moments, all I can think about is keeping my children alive through the night.
