He has worked tirelessly to build a space where people of all ages can pursue their goals alongside like-minded individuals who support each other. Ray’s leadership and dedication have made the gym a second home for many, and his influence is felt in every corner of our community.

<div> Recently, Ray suffered a heart attack while taking care of things in the gym. This event has deeply affected everyone who knows him, and it highlighted the urgent need for safety measures in the gym. We are raising money to purchase an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to have on hand at The Iron Bar. Having an AED available will make the gym safer for everyone, providing peace of mind and the ability to respond quickly in emergencies. Public spaces where people are pushing their limits truly benefit from having life-saving equipment like this.

<div>Faithful, graceful, compassionate, loving, thoughtful, and charitable are just a few words I would use to describe Wendy Blouin.
</div>
<div>Wendy and Brad will be celebrating their 35th anniversary in December. Brad informed me that in 1982 he met the most beautiful girl in the world. Wendy is his best friend and the love of his life. Wendy is his world. Together, they have two beautiful kids, Taylor and Breigh Blouin. Wendy and Brad served on the NWA leadership board for four years. They have been members of NWA since 2019.
</div>
<div>Wendy’s faith in God is unwavering; how she carries herself with such grace is remarkable. It has shown through every battle she has faced.
</div>
<div>Wendy has worked for the St. Tammany Parish School District for 20 years. Wendy cares for her students and brings so much joy to her school. She won paraprofessional of the year because of her hard work and dedication.
</div>
<div>Wendy was diagnosed with breast cancer on September 25, 2021, and she beat breast cancer on November 2, 2022. Witnessing the courage that she had throughout her treatments was incredible. During her treatments, Wendy showed up to all of her commitments with a smile on her face. Wendy never complained about how bad she may have felt. Her character is the most beautiful thing about her.

<div>Wendy has a giver's heart, and it shows through all of her charitable work. She has given her time to many charities, one of which is Our Daily Bread Food Bank in Hammond. Wendy has raised and donated money for local food banks, Methodist Children's Home, numerous cancer centers, St. Jude, several humane societies, and Angel Tree, and is a yearly donor of Thanksgiving baskets for those in need.

<div>Recently, Wendy received the diagnosis of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). ALS is a type of motor neuron disease that causes your motor neurons to degenerate. Wendy has a long battle ahead of her. I know she will handle it with grace. ALS is a life-changing disease that will affect every aspect of her life. Even with this diagnosis, she has not lost faith in God. She will tell anyone who will listen that she knows who holds the future, and she knows that God will take care of her. The Team Gleason Foundation has already donated her things, like a walker and wheelchair, and even told them they will help make their home handicapped-accessible. With that, Wendy and Brad still have a financial burden ahead of them with bringing in an in-home nurse and all of the medical bills. We want to help make her life and her family's life easier in any way possible.
</div>
<div>Wendy has decided to make her last selfless act one that will benefit those who are or will face ALS. She has chosen to donate her body to the study of ALS before her cremation. What a way to leave an everlasting legacy. We are all blessed to know her, and she will forever be an amazing person in so many ways to so many people.
</div>
<div>Wendy’s Warriors are proud to lend a helping hand in any way. We want to bless her and her family as much as possible because she has blessed many others.

<div>Hi, my name is Shannon, my daughter Cali Latapie and son in law Ryan Montelongo, welcomed the arrival of my beautiful grandson Rhett Montelongo born 3/21/24 with Pierre Robin Sequence , he was transferred from Tulane lakeside nicu to Children’s Hospital Nicu the day he was born, we are waiting on doctors to let us know his first surgery date, baby Rhett will have multiple surgeries in the next couple of months. The funds will be used to help relieve some of the stress for cali and Ryan to pay for gas, food and household bills, while they are spending all of their days at Children’s hospital with baby Rhett. Please keep us in y’all’s prayers and anything will be truly appreciated. Thanks so much.

<div>Hi, we are friends of Michael Woodson. We are getting his story out to everyone we can. Michael is a hardworking family man. At only 29 years old he’s been diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. Michael has a beautiful young family, loves being a husband, father, sportsman and enjoys Jeeping and jet skiing. This sudden and devastating diagnosis leaves him struggling with answers. Help Michael Woodson’s family fight colon cancer

<div>Two weeks ago, on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, our 3 daughters were involved in a motor vehicle accident on I-12 on their way to Archbishop Hannan where they are in 12th, 10th, and 8th grades. Many thanks to the gentleman who stopped and was able to get Alisha and Kristen out of the car which ended up on its side.

<div>Unfortunately, our 14 year old daughter, Sienna, was ejected through the rear window of the car. Many thanks, too, to the 2 nurses, on their way to work, who stopped and stayed with Sienna until the paramedics arrived.
</div>

<div>She was intubated at the crash site and then airlifted from the accident to North Oaks in Hammond. She was then airlifted to University Medical Center in New Orleans where she remains today.
</div>

<div>Sienna sustained serious head injuries and is being treated by an incredibly competent and wonderfully compassionate staff here at UMC.
</div>

<div>If all goes well, the doctors are hopeful that Sienna will be transferred to Children’s Hospital ICU. She will have to get 2 more procedures done, a tracheostomy and a gastrostomy. With those 2 procedures, Sienna will no longer require the tubes in her nose and throat. She can be ventilated through the trach, if needed. She can receive her nutrition directly to her stomach.

<div>There are still many unknowns with Sienna’s journey but we remain positive and hopeful for the best outcomes. We want to thank each and every one of you for your continuing love, prayers and support. It means the world to our family.

Help Sienna Recover from Traumatic Brain Injury

On May 27th, 22-year-old, <strong>Dallas Matamoros</strong>, was hit by a car while walking. The driver fled the scene, and Dallas was found unconscious &amp; critically injured. He was admitted to the Trauma Critical Care Unit at Our Lady of the Lake hospital in Baton Rouge, where he was diagnosed with skull fractures, brain bleeds and brain swelling. He's had emergency brain surgery in attempt to alleviate the swelling, as he continues to fight for his life. His family has been staying at a hotel in Baton Rouge and these expenses, as well as his medical bills, are increasing daily. The family would be grateful for ANY financial support you can give. PLEASE donate if you're able and keep Dallas and his family in your prayers.
