I am starting this fundraiser for myself and my son after our family was involved in a serious car accident. My son and I were both hospitalized, and we are still in critical condition. I had surgery on the first day, and my recovery has been very slow. Right now, the doctors still do not know if I will need another surgery. My son is in a children’s hospital about 45 minutes away from me, and his recovery is also taking longer than expected. Being separated while we are both going through so much has been heartbreaking for our family, and the uncertainty of not knowing how long we will remain in the hospital has made this even harder. Many friends have been asking how they can support us, and this fundraiser is one way to help during this difficult time. 
 
 
 We have already been hospitalized for at least 7 days, and we know the medical bills will be overwhelming. On top of that, a couple of our family members have had to quit their jobs so they can help take care of us during this time. Because we are far from home, they are also having to pay every day for food, personal care items, and the basic things needed to stay close by and support us. Any little help counts and would mean so much to us right now. If you are able to give, pray, or share this fundraiser, thank you from the bottom of my heart for standing with me and my son during this difficult time. 
 
 
 Estoy comenzando esta recaudación de fondos para mí y mi hijo después de que nuestra familia estuvo involucrada en un accidente automovilístico grave. Mi hijo y yo fuimos hospitalizados y todavía estamos en condición crítica. Me operaron el primer día, y mi recuperación ha sido muy lenta. En este momento, los doctores todavía no saben si necesitaré otra cirugía. Mi hijo está en un hospital de niños a unos 45 minutos de donde estoy yo, y su recuperación también está tomando más tiempo de lo esperado. Estar separados mientras los dos pasamos por algo tan difícil ha sido devastador para nuestra familia, y la incertidumbre de no saber cuánto tiempo más estaremos hospitalizados lo hace todavía más duro. Muchos amigos me han estado preguntando cómo pueden apoyarnos, y esta recaudación es una manera de hacerlo durante este momento tan difícil. 
 
 
 Ya hemos estado hospitalizados por al menos 7 días, y sabemos que las facturas médicas serán abrumadoras. Además de eso, un par de nuestros familiares han tenido que dejar sus trabajos para poder cuidarnos durante este tiempo. Como estamos lejos de casa, también tienen que comprar comida todos los días, artículos de cuidado personal y las cosas básicas necesarias para poder quedarse cerca y apoyarnos. Cualquier ayuda cuenta y significaría muchísimo para nosotros en este momento. Help Keila and Son Recover

I teach Yoga in Houston Texas. One of our yoga friends in the YogaWorks community, Becky Kottwitz was held up at gun point on New Years day. She returned home at 10pm from baby sitting her grandchild. A man approached her as she was getting things from her car and held her up at gun point. He hit her in the face several times with his gun and took her purse and phone, then he shot her in the leg and left her there. She has a shattered femor, has already had surgery, and is recovering in Houston Hospital. She will be in recovery and PT for some time. I would like to ask for any donations that you could afford to donate to her family to help out during this time. You could donate to this page, or I'm holding a Full Moon Flow class on Friday January 10, 2020. Where all proceeds go to donations to help Becky and her family at this time.
