<div>Carson, their middle child, is 16 and truly one of the most social, adventurous, and determined kids you could ever meet. On Friday, April 17, everything changed suddenly when he had a serious medical episode during first period at school. From that moment, things escalated quickly, and their lives have been turned upside down.

<div>Carson was transported by ambulance for emergency care and is now 13 days into a hospital stay at Carilion Children’s in Roanoke, about an hour and fifteen minutes from home. Carson is currently being treated for acute encephalitis, and there are still many unknowns. He is under the care of multiple specialists, including Neurology and Cardiology, and still waiting on additional answers from ongoing testing, including Mayo Clinic.

<div>There are moments where he is in severe distress, and it’s incredibly hard to see him go through this. John and Erika are taking things one day at a time, juggling work, and long days at the hospital, staying by Carson’s side and holding onto hope as they wait for more answers.

<div>On the evening of November 25th, Quinn, a 27-year-old carpenter, suffered a horrible accident while working with a meat grinder. In a split second, he lost two fingers on his right hand (index and middle), the hand he uses for his craft, his livelihood, and his passion. As a carpenter, this injury is not just life-changing, it's career-altering. His ability to work, support himself, and care for his beloved German Shepherd, Brecca, is now uncertain for many months.

Support Karl and Cristy: Coping with Tragic Loss and a Baby

<div>I'm creating this Gofundme for my twin sister and her husband, Kaylie and Tanner Seegmiller. As you may have heard, Tanner was involved in a horrific car accident on his way home from work on Friday, November 17th. As he was driving on the highway, a crash in front of him caused many cars to slam on their brakes. Trying to avoid an accident, Tanner swerved to dodge a truck that had suddenly stopped and found himself hitting the back of a semi-truck at highway speeds. Fortunately, airbags deployed and saved his life. In a circumstance that should have been fatal we are lucky to still have Tanner with us. He has a long road to recovery though. Tanner sustained a broken femur, 8 staples (head), a severe concussion, a black eye, stitches and many cuts and bruises. He underwent surgery on Saturday to have a metal rod placed in his leg.

<div>As you can imagine, the next few weeks/months will be financially stressful. Tanner is the sole provider for his family and with Kaylie taking on the role of full-time caregiver during his recovery <em>and</em> full-time mom, the upcoming weeks will be financially tight for them. Funeral Expenses

My Dear brother in law Eric Strawn on July 3rd suffered a large stroke, from a clot to the main artery of his right side of the brain. He will require extensive rehab and medical care once he is able to leave the hospital. He was the main provider for his family and will be unable to work for sometime if ever again. His vision has been severely affected and DRs do not believe this will improve as there is a small clot still in the area that controls his vision.  We are raising money to help with costs the insurance will not cover, costs associated with travel expenses to and from the hospital, and general living expenses. We are not sure what prognosis Eric faces at this time. We are in a waiting game against the swelling in his brain to see what transpires for him. If you could please donate to help his family with the financial burden they are experiencing at this time it would greatly appreciated. Eric would give anyone the shirt off his back and help anyone in need. He is an amazing man. A true gem. A real fighter. We are all praying for him to regain as much as possible with rehab.
