A safe home for my family

Hi, my name is Kelly, and I’m a mom of two trying to give my family the chance at a safe and stable new beginning. For years, I’ve done everything I could to make our apartment feel like home, even as the conditions around us continued to get worse. We’ve dealt with ongoing water damage, mold, electrical issues, leaks, rodents, and other problems that have made it increasingly difficult to feel safe in our own home. I’ve made calls, filed complaints, had inspections, reached out for help, and continued advocating for my family. After years of trying to make things better, I’ve reached a point where I don’t want to keep finding temporary ways to survive here. I want to move forward. My goal is to relocate my family and create the stability we’ve been missing. Funds raised will help with moving and housing expenses, replacing belongings we may not be able to bring with us, and helping us get settled into a safe home. I’m not looking for anything extravagant. I simply want a home where my children can walk through the door and I don’t have to worry about whether the place we call home is hurting them.
