By now, everyone under the sun knows this human will do pretty much anything possible for this furry little man. For the past eleven years, LC has stolen his manservant’s heart (along with the big bed, food, and right to any semblance of privacy). As a single person living alone, the pink pencil eraser nosed wiener, along with his partners in crime, Skeeter the not so new kid on the block and Franklin the flying squirrel, are my family and quite frankly, my lifeblood. At my age, they give me reason to get up every morning and keep going. They are pretty much my life.
One might ask why in the world a single person of limited means would take in three dogs. Dogs are expensive. LC’s costs alone, with Cushing’s Disease and other meds, are substantial. The fact is, no one knows what expenses they will be facing when adopting a pet (pretty sure people feel the same about their human children). But the truth is, these wiener dogs adopted me. We’re not sure what the future holds for LC, but we’re hoping he will be around to wienertain us for several years to come. I believe the addition of the ever exuberant Skeeter and Franklin has helped keep LC alert, active, and sassy. The wiener boys’ bond is priceless.
Thank you all for taking the time to put up with us and the kindness of your thoughts and support.
