<div>Brea is raising this fundraiser for <strong>Andy</strong>, a friend and farmer in the community. For more than 20 years, Andy has been growing and selling strawberries from his corner, and so many people have stopped by year after year to support him. Yesterday, Andy’s trailer, and strawberry stand burned down which was also his home. In that fire, he lost everything he owned including precious family photos. Andy lives alone and has already endured so much loss, including the passing of his parents several years ago and his wife a few years ago. This devastating fire has left him without money, without a place to stay, and heartbroken. Andy is a wonderful, kind, and hardworking man who has touched many lives through the years. The funds raised will help him with immediate needs like clothing, housing, and replacing basic essentials. They will also help with cleaning up his property and getting a new trailer so he has a safe place to live again. Brea is asking the community to come together for Andy during this incredibly difficult time. Any donation, big or small, will help Andy begin to rebuild his life and remind him that the community he has cared for over the years is here for him now.

<div>Four weeks ago, my dad underwent routine surgery to help with his balance and mobility. Unfortunately, complications arose, and he lost the ability to breathe on his own. He was placed in a coma. After coming out of the coma, he was transferred to UCSF. He’s back in Fresno in convalescent care and has lost 35 pounds. He must now learn to eat, talk, stand; all basic functions by hisself. The medical bills are already piling up. Medicare will soon stop paying for his PT, OT, daily care; everything he will need to function on his own again. Rehabilitation will be long and grueling, and the costs are overwhelming.

<div>We’re asking your help so they won’t be paying these bills every month, for the rest of their lives. If you’re able to donate or share our story, it would mean the world to us. My dad has always been there for others—now we hope others can be there for him. Thank you for any support you can give, and for helping us hold our family together during this difficult time.
