Lured - A Florida Gothic Horror Feature Film
Logline:
When a group of friends retreats to a cabin for a bachelorette getaway, they must survive a mysterious predatory threat
The Production Vision:
As a filmmaker with a background in practical effects, miniatures, and green screen visual effects, I am focused on creating an authentic, "Florida Gothic" atmosphere. We are utilizing:
• Practical FX: To bring the green-tinged, slimy, and "water-rotted" possession of the characters to life.
• Atmospheric Storytelling: Leveraging the natural, unsettling beauty of the Florida landscape—the Spanish moss, the amber sun, and the "iron and mold" scenery of the wetlands.
• Practical Creatures: Inspired by carnivorous pitcher plants, our "monster" is a grounded, biological horror.
Funding Goal: $2,500
We are keeping our budget lean and focused. This $2,500 will go directly toward:
• SFX Makeup & Props: Creating the gruesome remains and the physical transformation of the "lured" characters.
• Travel Costs: Crew travel costs from Orlando, and to and from cabin and pool/bluescreen environment set.
• Craft Services & Safety: Keeping our cast and crew fed and safe during overnight shoots in the forest.
