<div>They told me that my own blood sister someone I loved, trusted, and let near my babies was sexually abusing my children. I cannot describe the feeling of hearing those words. It felt like I couldn’t breathe. I felt the world fall out from under my feet. I felt like I failed them, even though I never knew… even though I had no way of knowing.

<div>But the pain didn’t stop there.

<div>I was told that images of my children were illegally shared on the dark web — places where predators look at and exchange this kind of material. Knowing that strangers saw my babies knowing their faces were out there shattered me beyond anything I’ve ever felt. As a mother, there is no deeper heartbreak.

<div>My children are traumatized. My babies are only 2 and 5 years old. They cry out in their sleep. They cling to me. They’re scared to be alone. They’re scared of the world. They told me they don’t feel safe in our home anymore, and I listened to them. I packed us up and left everything behind so they would never have to walk back into a place that reminded them of their pain.

<div>Now I’m doing everything I can to keep them safe, to comfort them, to help them feel loved and protected again. But I cannot work right now  I can’t leave them with anyone, not even for a second. After what happened, I don’t trust anyone around my children. I am their mother, their protector, their stability, and the only person they feel safe with.

<div>But trying to carry all of this the trauma, the bills, the move, the appointments, the sleepless nights, the fear it’s more than I can handle alone. I am fighting with everything I have, but we need help.
