My car, ShamPow, has been my lifeline since I bought it last summer for both work and personal use. To keep up with the payments, I’ve been working a second job, and I rely on this car every day to get to work and make deliveries. When I first had it shipped from Charlotte, NC, I noticed some flaws, but I’ve done my best to address them as I could. Over the past year, I’ve put a heck of lot of miles on ShamPow, especially lately as I’ve been driving more for work. Now, the brakes are grinding and shuttering, and getting to a point of nothingness on the pads. The clutch pedal has also started sticking, which has left me stuck in traffic a couple of times which is definitely a scary experience when crossing a 5 lane Highway. With almost 70,000 miles on the car, it’s clear that it’s getting to be closer to time for a new brake system, rotors, brake fluid, and likely a clutch kit with a new slave and master cylinder. I’m never really one to ask for help, but gotta do what we can.
Getting these repairs done is more important than ever because I now have a newborn child. Safety is my top priority with this car now. I want to make sure my car is reliable for my family and for my work. Having a dependable car will also help me keep building a side hustle on Instagram, @Shampow.ST which I hope will support my wife, our newborn, and our future goals. In today’s world, having a second vehicle is a real need for a family, and I’m doing everything I can to make that happen. I’ve seen people do amazing things with the right support from the right people. We but mainly I are very appreciative with anything.
Any support would mean the world to me and my family. Not just for today, but for our future as well. I’m grateful for any help, especially from those who understand the challenges of keeping a family car running. Thank you for considering supporting us. The day of posting this is on my Birthday and it means a lot if you read to here. Thank you of thinking of me/us.
