Naya Stone

Hi everyone I'm creating this fundraiser because my mom has sacrificed so much for our family, and now we want to help her finish the part of her journey. My mom is studying aquaculture and forestry engineering agroforestry and fisheries so she can build a stable career and support our family. She attends university nacional intercultural de la Amazonia (UNIA) , a public university in Peru focused on intercultural education in the Amazon region. The university helps support indigenous communities through programs like bilingual education, agroforestry, sustainable development, environmental protection, cultural preservation, and local leadership. She hopes to work in conservation, foresterty, and Fisheries related work someday, here in Maine or she said become a teacher as to teach people as one of her dreams. She has worked incredibly hard to continue her education while also caring fory little brother and supporting my family. My mom made the sacrifices to let me and my brother come to America so we could study and have better opportunities in Maine. Being separated for her has been very hard on all all of us but she continues pushing forward because she wants us to have a better future. Even while studying and struggling financially my mom always calls to check on me and my brother. She keeps going because she loves us and believes in our future. So I want to help her. The last time my Mom was able to come to maine was before COVID. When we visited Peru her homeland, she became stuck there longer than expected because of the pandemic and visa issues. Since then, our family has been working hard so she can eventually return to Maine again. My mom decided to do education so that when she comes back she can work help support our family and help my dad with expenses. She is now close to graduation and we are asking for help so she can finish school pass her exams and continue the process of getting her documents and visa so our family can be reunited again. We are raising money to help cover materials Laptop for schoolwork -600 Gps equipment and school supplies -300 Transportation and travel expenses -500 Educationl materials/ books , paperwork - 700 Immigration paperwork -2000 And Cap and gown expenses. Any donations, no matter how small would mean so much to our family. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser would also help us greatly.
