My name is Shaun, and for years I worked as a trucker, traveling across the country and supporting myself through hard work. Recently, I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, and my A1c levels rose above 10%. Because of this, I lost my medical certification and was put out of work in the trucking industry. The high cost of insurance and medical care has made it incredibly tough to keep up with my bills, and I’ve found myself in a difficult spot. Losing my career in OTR trucking has been a huge challenge, but I’m determined to move forward. I’ve always dreamed of going to broking school and starting a new chapter in my life. Now, with my trucking days behind me, this feels like the right time to pursue that goal. The funds I raise here will help me cover my living costs and bills while I work toward this new opportunity. Hi , I'm Shaun Patterson, a former trucker who fell on hard times due to medical health issues! I'm a type 2 diabetic and I suffered a small stroke because of this. I now have to go on insulin to control my diabetes! This will be financially hard. After the stroke, I can't return to trucking for a minimum of 1 year. Just asking for anything that will help until I can change careers. The high cost of health care and paying bills have placed a strain on me financially.
