AGGIORNAMENTO DAL CAMPO: COSA SERVE DAVVERO AI RANGER DI OL PEJETA Spesso ci chiedono: "Di cosa hanno bisogno concretamente i ranger che proteggono gli animali?" Abbiamo posto la domanda direttamente al team operativo di Ol Pejeta Conservancy, in Kenya. La risposta è stata chiara. I cani anti-bracconaggio sono fortunatamente ben curati e dispongono già dell'equipaggiamento essenziale. La priorità oggi è fornire ai 13 conduttori K9 gli strumenti necessari per lavorare in sicurezza ed essere più efficaci durante le operazioni sul campo. Le necessità individuate dal team: 13 binocoli per l'osservazione diurna Torce professionali e dispositivi per la visione notturna Borse idriche CamelBak per l'approvvigionamento d'acqua durante le pattuglie Zaini operativi da campo Stivali tecnici per le operazioni quotidiane Questi strumenti possono sembrare semplici, ma fanno la differenza tra vedere o non vedere una minaccia, raggiungere o non raggiungere un animale in difficoltà, operare in sicurezza oppure no. Ogni giorno questi uomini percorrono chilometri nella savana per proteggere rinoceronti, elefanti, leoni e molte altre specie. Il nostro obiettivo non è soltanto raccontare la conservazione attraverso la fotografia. Vogliamo trasformare le immagini in un aiuto concreto. Stiamo raccogliendo fondi per 13 persone reali che ogni giorno proteggono i rinoceronti e animali in difficoltà.

To tell the deep connection between humans, nature, and animals. To turn a simple gaze into awareness. And awareness into action. My name is Sara Stojković. I am a fine art photographer and visual storyteller. For years, I have been working between Italy and Africa, documenting wildlife, nature reserves, rangers, and conservation projects. Every image comes from a real encounter. A shared moment. A gaze between two living beings. And it is from that moment that the desire to protect is born. Today, this project is becoming something more. Over 30% of everything we create (prints, jewelry, events) is already reinvested into wildlife protection and conservation efforts. But we want to go further. Because true conservation cannot exist without supporting the people who live alongside wildlife every day. This fundraiser exists for that reason.
