<p>Dear friends and kindhearted individuals,

<p> May 2024, i needed to have both legs amputated unexpectedly in the johns Hopkins Bayview hospital due to wounds that would not heal  a condition that has still not been diagnosed. This condition also affects the blood and circulation. A few weeks later, further post-operative complications no visitors were allowed and I was left in the hands of the Drs nurses and healthcare team to make decisions for my benefit .
</p><br />
<p>As you can imagine, this has been life altering. This sudden and devastating change has turned my world upside down and now face the urgent reality that my home needs to be adapted to suit my new reality. This will ensure that I can live comfortably, independently and in a safe way. I have a long recovery ahead as I learn how to physically adapt and overcome the loss of 2 vital limbs, as well as addressing the mental toll that the last few months has taken. The home in which I live in with my dad  is now filled with barriers, and simple tasks and reaching anything is a struggle.
</p><br />
<p>Modifications are now required to improve my quality of life, such as: widening doorways, installing ramps, upgrading bathrooms to be wheelchair accessible, lowering her kitchen and other fittings, installing a stair lift, and many other adaptations that are vital. This unexpected amputation has also taken away the possibility of work and future earnings for me.
</p><br />
<p>Anyone who knows me knows that I am an extremely kind hearted and  generous to a fault. I now hope, through the generosity of other kind-hearted people, that I can fundraise enough to help adapt our home and regain some of my independence. I am determined to build myself up and already come so far through sheer determination. I will need specialised personal training as well as intensive rehabilitation into the future to reach my goal of being independent once again. Following rehabilitation I hope that I will be able to get a prosthetic legs, which requires her to be fit and in full health.
</p><br />
<p>Any donations made will go directly to improving my quality of life, household adaptations and safeguards for independent living for her future. Critter's Leg Amputation Medical Support Equipment

<div>My good friend and colleague Tanya Urick, Taos Mesa Brewing CFO and New Mexico Brewer’s Guild board member, was stricken with a rare and aggressive form of Multiple Sclerosis known as Marburg variant late in 2022. She was life-flighted twice: once in November to UNMH in Albuquerque and then again in December to Swedish Neurological unit in Denver, CO. The quick response by the attending Neurologists at Swedish medical center saved Tanya’s life. Tanya and her partner, Jayson (CEO and co-founder of Taos Mesa Brewing) spent 4 months in hospitals and rehab. Tanya is improving but she cannot walk without assistance and her vision and cognition are still impaired. She still has a long road to recovery. In the ensuing weeks and months, she must undergo several major surgeries. Owing to her illness, Tanya had to resign from Taos Mesa Brewing, and she lost her income. Both she and her partner Jayson need your help covering travel and medical expenses associated with Tanya’s illness. I am setting a goal of $60,000 to help Tanya and Jayson recoup medical and travel expenses, as well as help them offset the fact that their household income was cut in half when Tanya’s illness forced her to resign from Taos Mesa Brewing. Help Tanya fight Multiple Sclerosis

<div>Hi, my name is Tori and I'm fundraising for my good friend and coworker, Sarah and her mom, Vickie. Sarah is a current nurse in Colorado. Sarah has been a healthcare worker since before COVID and has continued to help the community of the Denver-Metro Area. Vickie was a school teacher for over 40 years and has just retired this past summer. Recently, Sarah and her retired mother attempted to buy a house where they could reside for the long-term future but were conned out of all of their savings. When Sarah and her mother realized what had happened, it was too late to recover their money. Sarah and her mother were heartbroken and additionally lost the house they were hoping to purchase. Despite all of this, Sarah has continued to show up in times of need for others, providing a helping and caring hand.

Stolen life savings Vickie and Sarah Ragle

<div>Hi. My name is Shannon and pictured above is my brother, Ryan, and my nephew, Desmond. I am starting this fundraiser on behalf of them because my 15-year-old nephew has been in and out of the hospital since February 2021 with what doctors’ thought was pneumonia and abdominal pain; however, it’s much more serious than that. He is now in the ICU at Penn State Milton Hershey Medical Center fighting for his life.
</div>

<div>The doctors believe now that he has a rare autoimmune vasculitis disease, which he will battle the rest of his life. They think he may have gotten asymptomatic Covid-19, which triggered latent genes of the disease. They confirmed that they have seen this type of disease in some children and adults that have had Covid-19.
</div>

<div>My brother, Ryan, has spent day and night with a team of physicians from rheumatology, pulmonology, infectious disease and nephrology. They have discussed a timeline of symptoms and previous treatments. The team have done extensive testing and are working tirelessly to come up with a definitive diagnosis and to develop a plan of treatment.
</div>

<div>Here is what has been happening…
</div>

<div>1. Desmond started having issues in February 2021
</div>

<div>2. Prior to February, he quarantined several times for possible exposure to COVID-19 from classmates
</div>

<div>3. Each time his swab tests came back negative
</div>

<div>4. His symptoms started with abdominal pain
</div>

<div>5. He had numerous doctor’s appointments and was given antibiotics each time
</div>

<div>6. The beginning of June, Desmond received his first COVID-19 vaccine
</div>

<div>7. Three days later he was in serious pain and found to have blood in his urine
</div>

<div>8. He was taken to Patient First and was referred to a Urologist, who prescribed more antibiotics
</div>

<div>9. The end of June, he received his second Covid-19 shot
</div>

<div>10. Four days after his 2nd vaccine, he started to get worse - fast
</div>

<div>11. He started coughing up blood and was in excruciating pain
</div>

<div>12. He was rushed to the hospital in the middle of the night, where he was diagnosed with pneumonia and given more antibiotics
</div>

<div>13. Desmond’s health has progressively deteriorated after being wrongly diagnosed and treated for almost a year
</div>

<div>14. Desmond was taken to the emergency department on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, as he was coughing up blood again.
</div>

<div>15. After waiting nine hours, he was finally seen in the ED where physicians found that his lungs and kidneys were extremely inflamed and bleeding
</div>

<div>16. He continued to deteriorate and was flown by helicopter to Hershey Medical Center’s Intensive Care Unit
</div>

<div>We don’t know how long Desmond will be in the hospital this time. He is not out of the woods. He will require lifelong treatment and evaluation. The funds donated will go to the tremendous costs incurred during the past 8+ months of hospitalizations, testing, medications and misdiagnoses. It will also go to defray the cost of preventing kidney disease/failure and lung trauma, without which could result in organ failure and the need for transplant.
</div>

I am Jeanise Jones’s Pastor Derrick Scobey. Jeanise Jones is a Mother(3), Grandmother (6), faithful church member and just an overall great person who will help anyone. She recently emerged as the “STAR” in the new Borat movie. She was recruited from our church the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Oklahoma City after Producers spoke to me about needing a “Black Grandmother” for a small role in a “documentary.” Jeanise emerged as that person and she was completely unaware that this was a comedy, and all of this was made up. We have been praying for the young lady in the movie because we all genuinely thought she was in trouble. The joke is on us/Jeanise and that’s no problem. Many of you have reached from around the world to say thank you, so I thought it would be great to give people a vehicle to say thank you in a tangible way, She wasn’t paid much money at all for her role in this movie.<br /><br />This was not scripted for Jeanise. It all came from the heart. She is one of the most authentic people I’ve ever met. One good thing that has come from this is that Jeanise doesn’t have to worry about “Tutar” anymore. She has WORRIED about this young lady for a year.<br /><br />The movie was scheduled to come out in November, but because of COVID and a rush to release the movie before the election, this movie was released on Amazon instead of theaters.  <br /><br />Please consider saying thank you to Jeanise with a tangible gift. She’s unemployed right now due to Covid. Previously, she worked on a job for 32 years! She’s faithful! Jeanise Jones Borat Movie

We lost our beloved Angelina to a tragic hit and run accident on Saturday, January 26th while she was crossing the street.  She was visiting family in Redondo Beach while on Winter Break. Just hours away from boarding a bus to return to San Francisco State University to resume her Junior year.<br /><br />She was the youngest of 6. She spent the last 10 summers in the South Bay enjoying leisurely bike rides on the beach. She had a passion for running, hiking, snowboarding and traveling.  She really enjoyed children and her time working at Manhattan Country Club as a camp counselor, child care attendant and pool attendant.  Her bright smile and kind heart will be missed terribly. She had a special gift of bringing joy, peace and comfort to many. She was always so giving and grateful. <br /><br />Please consider donating towards her funeral arrangement and a worthy cause in her honor.  No amount is too small. <br /><br />I'm her sister Elizabeth Pinedo who is running the campaign on behalf of my parents. <br /><br />Thank you for your support, love and prayers during this difficult time.
