I’m writing this on behalf of my friend <strong>Kate</strong> and her family as they face a long and difficult road ahead. Kate was recently diagnosed with aggressive HER2+ breast cancer and is beginning an intensive treatment plan that will carry her through the rest of the year and beyond. Her first phase of chemotherapy will last 18 weeks, followed by a double mastectomy. After surgery, she will continue with a second phase of chemotherapy to finish out the year, and then begin the reconstructive process. It is an overwhelming journey, but Kate is meeting it with incredible strength and courage while doing everything she can to stay focused on her family and take things one step at a time.

 Because of treatment, Kate has lost income from her work in the school kitchens and from running her bakery. At the same time, her husband is now the sole provider and will need to take FMLA so he can help care for their children and support Kate during recovery. The funds raised will help with chemo-related supplies, surgeries, medical bills, transportation to treatment, and everyday needs like food and household support for their kids while the family’s income is reduced. If you are able to help, any support would mean so much to Kate and her family. Niki is a dear friend whom I’ve known for over 30 years. She’s 76 and recently retired when the local leather factory she worked for closed down. As a widower, she’s facing life on very limited resources. She owns a small home on which she still carries a mortgage.

Help GTH Receive Life-Saving Medical Treatments

<div>On June 8, 2023 — just one day after my mom passed away in our home — a water pipe broke and caused extensive damage. What should have been a routine insurance claim turned into a nightmare.

<div>The insurance company refused to properly remediate the damage, and we were forced to keep living in unsafe conditions. By March 2024, black mold had spread, making it impossible to stay. We had no choice but to move out with our rescue dogs and live in temporary housing.

<div>For nearly two years, the insurance company covered some of our costs, but as of June 2025 they stopped paying altogether — despite their delays being the cause of this crisis.

Despite her valiant fight, Stephani succumbed to her injuries on August 1, 2024. She was a devoted and loving wife and mom to her beautiful young family, a cherished daughter and friend, and an adored teacher in the Hillview Crest Elementary School community.

<div>My name is Destiny and I am Ryli’s older sister. My brother had a horrible accident on July 4th. While the people he was with were setting off fireworks someone who was inebriated decided to light off a sparkler bomb (a bunch of sparklers taped together). When they lit it they were not paying attention to where they were lighting it or who was around. They lit it off extremely close to people and two small children. My brother being the incredible person that he is jumped into action and grabbed the fireworks trying to move it away from the kids knowing they could get seriously hurt or worse if it went off that close to them. When he grabbed it, it went off in his hand. His whole had was blown apart and he got serious burns on his face, neck, chest and legs. He was rushed to Harborview Medical Center where he ended up having to have what was left of his right hand amputated above the wrist.

<div>Obviously life is going to look extremely different for him from now on. He is facing a long and difficult road to recovery as well as now no longer being able to work while he heals. He lost his dominant hand which makes adjusting to his new life even harder. Ryli is a hero and saved the lives of the two children as well as many others around him. Im asking for any donations to help him while he is on his road to recovery. He won’t be able to work and disability will not kick in for a while. In the mean time he has bills that need to be paid as well as money just to live off of.

<div>I can not express how proud I am of my brother. At just 19 years old he has handled this whole awful situation with grace courage and incredible strength. He is truly a hero who didn’t hesitate for a second thinking about his own safety only of those around him.

<p>Since Emma was a little girl, she has said that she wants to be a missionary when she grows up.

<p>She has applied and been accepted to Youth With A Mission‘s (YWAM’s) discipleship training program in Kona Hawaii this September and is so excited!<br /><br />She will train for three months and then be sent on an outreach to carry the love of Jesus and be of practical aide in a foreign nation. We look forward to watching her spread her wings and discover more of how she is called to serve others with her life.

<p>She has asked that if people want to give her gifts upon her graduation from high school that instead they would help her with the finances needed for this training school.

Emma’s Youth With A Mission Discipleship School

After his last surgery he was told he would live a long normal life. <br /><br />18 months ago Chris and his wife Jamie were traveling when he collapsed in an airport  and passed out. He was hospitalized for a week and was not allowed to go home for awhile due to his condition. The doctors discovered his heart has calcified due to scar tissue over time from previous surgeries, making his heart harder to pump over time. This stress on his heart has caused Pulmonary Hypertension, destroying his lungs in the process. <br /><br />Chris desperately needs a heart and double lung transplant. Unfortunately, our local nationally ranked University of Washington is not qualified to handle this magnitude of surgery. Chris is now transferred to Stanford, California. He was put on the transplant list January of last year (2020). They have been waiting for the call they could get any day.<br /><br />I am one of Chris &amp; Jamie's closest friends, and have witnessed the hardships that Chris's condition has put on his family and friends. We are trying to help as much as we can but the burden of finances is overwhelming. The costs and out of pocket expenses are insane upwards of $16,000. Currently, they are already paying medical bills because of the last couple years of testing and times when Chris has been hospitalized. <br /><br />Chris's deductible is $3,000 and his benefit maximum is up to $8,150 which means he has to pay over $12,000 just to qualify for surgery. This is what they  have to pay every year.<br /><br />Insurance also does not cover flights for his wife Jamie &amp; his mom to fly back and forth from Seattle to California for 4 months of recovery time, to balance time to take care of Chris but also be with the children. Insurance also does not cover additional lodging and food expenses.<br /><br /><br />This is going to be a lifelong process for Chris and his family. It will be a lifetime of follow-up care and daily anti-rejection medications. Medication can be up $500 a month. Even with copay this all adds up quickly. <br /><br /><br />----More about chris-----<br /><br /><br />Chris lives in Seattle, WA and was born and raised here. He is the sole provider for his wife, two daughters and two pets. He is the owner of  a paint company based out of Seattle and has worked hard to provide for his family, friends and employees. Most importantly he is a loving father, husband, son and friend.<br /><br />Chris is one of the most giving people I have ever met and has constantly gone out of his way to make sure others needs are met. D-aLe’s Medical Bills

January 10,2019 My beautiful son Eric Cline, who though autistic, has always been extremely healthy, had two grand mal seizures. He had one at home and one at the hospital.  He (and I) spent two nights in the hospital and was given a battery of tests before being given the tough news that he now has Epilepsy. Tough news for many reasons including the fact that I now have to leave a part time job and can not pay my rent without it. <br /><br />We were already going to move in March (not sure where yet) into a much cheaper apartment that I can afford without extra money but I needed every bit of money I will not make in the next few months <br /><br />(1600) will go directly pay rent for two months (Which is around 2177)<br /><br />The rest will be to pay for his medicine (100 a month -unless I can get help from the state, as well as uber rides to all the doctor visits) if anything is left over it will go to moving expenses. <br /><br />I understand so many people are in a tight spot,, I have be unable to give for that reason, but if you would like, I really would appreciate healing prayers for Eric more than anything. He as mild autism and has gone through alot in his life, I would really love if he did not have to experience any more seizures.<br /><br />Thank you reading this far, and if you do decide to donate just know that from the bottom of my heart I thank you. <br /><br />I just want to be able to have the relief of knowing rent is paid so that I can focused on  Caring for Eric.  And on the move ahead.<br /><br />I must add a large thank you to all who donated to our family when my husband (Eric's father) passed away. Dragon Drums Destroyed Workshop Fund

Spike George is in a fight for his life.  He has burned through his sick leave and annual leave.  He has been hospitalized three times in the last few months.  This has taken a toll on him physically, emotionally, and mentally.  Spike, his wife, and daughter face uncertain times.  They have been financially challenged to provide Spike with access to quality healthcare.  His short term disability is ending May 8, 2016.  After that, all of his medical bills and insurance payments come out of pocket.  To cover the cost of his medical insurance, alone,  is $2000 a month.  Spike anticipates 6 months until long term disability goes into effect.  All money earned will go to Spike to help offset medical costs and any other bills that his family will face.  Any help would be greatly appreciated by the George family during this very trying time.  Spike and family extend their most heartfelt thanks to their brothers and sisters in blue that have helped them and continue to help them.

Tim passed away suddenly July 26th from a massive brain hemorrhage with no means of provisions for Ellen and the kids. She is a stay home mom that home schools her three youngest kids. Ellen's Emergency Relief

Michele Tribole is my beautiful friend, wife and mother of two daughters, Ariel (17) and Alora (14). Having survived breast cancer in 2004, Michele now faces lung cancer.  Recently, she spent three weeks in Kentucky at a wellness center where she started a holistic natural treatment program.   She is currently being treated at Swedish in Seattle and is looking at a low dose chemo treatment facility in the Phoenix area.   While insurance may pay for some of the treatment, the out of pocket expenses will be very high.  <br /><br />This is Michele's desire: To fight the cancer as naturally as possible, to maintain a quality of life that's not taken from her by injecting toxins into her body, and to enjoy her family for many years to come.<br /><br />Thank you in advance for your time, kindness and contribution.
