Dottie Mazzarella

Georgia needs our help. Georgia is a dear friend of Dottie’s and a dedicated worker at the Humane Society of Sumter County, where Georgia spends each day caring for animals in need. Last week, while at work, Georgia’s car was struck by lightning and completely destroyed. This sudden loss has left Georgia without reliable transportation at a time when a car is essential just to get to work. On top of that, Georgia is still making loan payments on the destroyed car and is also facing a $1,000 insurance deductible. Anyone who knows Georgia knows how much compassion Georgia gives to others. Beyond working at the Humane Society, Georgia also cares for many cats that have been abandoned on the property and does everything possible to help rescue, protect, and place animals into safe homes. Right now, Georgia must depend on others for rides, which means fewer work hours and less income. The funds from this fundraiser will help Georgia cover the $1,000 deductible, ease the strain from lost wages, and go toward a replacement car so Georgia can continue getting to work and serving the animals who depend on that care. Dottie is asking for support for someone who gives so much of the heart every single day. Any donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference for Georgia and help her family. If you are able, please give and share this fundraiser to help Georgia through this difficult time.
