Our family is facing one of the most challenging times of our lives. Our son, who is only 18 and a first-time offender, is currently being held at Rikers Island jail in New York. His bail has been set at an extremely high amount, which is far beyond what we can afford as middle-class, working parents. We want nothing more than to bring our son home so he can have a fair chance to fight his case and move forward with his life. The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward covering his bail and the legal fees necessary to ensure he receives the representation he deserves. We are doing everything we can, but the financial burden is overwhelming, and we cannot do this alone. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in helping our son get the support he needs during this critical time. We are parents who trust in God and believe in second chances. Our youth need help and understanding in this world, and we are simply looking to help our child.
