<div>Kinley's story: Kinley was born with a rare venous malformation impacting her neck, airway, mouth, tongue, and major blood vessels in her chest. To date, Kinley has had 22 surgeries and procedures under anesthesia to treat her venous malformations. During the course of her treatments, Kinley has dealt with blood clots, pain, severe sleep apnea, airway issues, and bleeding issues associated with her condition, as well as the pain and risks associated with her many surgeries.

<div>In April of 2026, Kinley's mom became aware of a groundbreaking new treatment available to those suffering with complex venous malformations. This treatment is only being offered in Italy and will require Kinley to travel to meet the doctor in charge of this new treatment in New York. Kinley and her family will then fly to Italy for an extended stay for her treatment, recovery, and follow-up. <strong>This treatment would give Kinley a childhood not overshadowed by constant painful medical interventions and risky procedures.</strong>

<div>I never thought I’d be writing something like this. But my daughter has been given an opportunity I simply can’t let slip away, and we can’t fully finance it on our own. So I’m doing what’s hardest for me: I’m asking for help.

<div>Nelly is 15 years old and the German federal champion in rope skipping. This title is the result of years of discipline and dedication.

<div>Behind it are years of training, countless repetitions, falling down and getting back up, and a determination that I’ve watched grow since she was a child. At the same time, she’s one of the top students at her school. She has fought hard for every step along the way.

<div>In December, Nelly will travel to Ecuador to take on the leading role in an international short film that our family is helping to produce.

<div>The short film is the heart of this project and will be filmed in some of the country's most breathtaking natural landscapes. In places that are so unique and fascinating that they almost seem unreal. One of these special filming locations is the Equator, the center of the Earth.

<div>The film itself is not about rope skipping. But it is precisely the qualities that Nelly has developed through her sport, discipline, endurance, and presence, that have opened this extraordinary opportunity for her.

<div>In addition to the filming, we will use the trip to produce unique rope-

<div>skipping reels at some of Ecuador's most spectacular locations.

<div>Alongside the short film, this will create special footage that showcases Nelly's sport in an extraordinary setting and is meant to inspire people all over the world.

<div>For Nelly, this project is an opportunity to grow on an international level, take part in a professional film production, and at the same time share her passion for rope skipping with the world in a truly special way.

<div>It will be two intensive weeks of filming, traveling between different filming locations, following a demanding production schedule, creating the rope-skipping reels, and documenting the entire journey for everyone who follows her.

<div>We are traveling as a family. Nelly's dad and I will be with her the entire time. She is only 15years old, so nothing else would even be an option for us.
