What they care about

I’m not only a police officer but a soldier as well. I care about not only about protecting serving the people of the city I work in but my country as well!

Our friend, neighbor, and community hero, Reydon Recker, is facing the toughest battle of his life. Reydon has been diagnosed with recurring adenocarcinoma, and doctors have determined that his cancer is terminal. While he continues to fight with incredible courage and determination, the financial burden has become overwhelming. For years, Reydon dedicated his life to serving others. He proudly served his community as a police officer and a volunteer firefighter, answering calls for help at all hours and putting the needs of others before his own. He spent his career protecting lives, helping families through emergencies, and standing beside those in their darkest moments. Today, Reydon needs our help. Due to his illness, Reydon is living on disability income. He has also lost his medical insurance coverage, leaving him responsible for the staggering costs of cancer treatment, medications, medical appointments, travel expenses, and daily living needs. Although he has applied for assistance, he does not qualify for many government programs. The heartbreaking reality is that he earns too much to qualify for aid, but not nearly enough to afford the treatments and medications he desperately needs. At this time, Reydon is struggling to pay for chemotherapy treatments, cancer medications and prescriptions, medical appointments and specialist visits, travel expenses for treatment, household bills and basic living expenses, and other medical costs not covered by insurance. Anyone who knows Reydon knows that he has never been one to ask for help. He has spent his life helping others, often without recognition or reward. Now we have an opportunity to give back to a man who has given so much to his community. Every donation, no matter the amount, will help ease the financial burden and allow Reydon to focus on what matters most—spending precious time with his loved ones and continuing his fight with dignity and hope. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser and keeping Reydon and his family in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support during this difficult time. Together, we can remind Reydon that he is not facing this battle alone.
