<div>Many of you know the story of CJ. She was in a horrific car accident and she is a single mother of a precious one year old son. She was ejected from her vehicle and her body hit a metal pole. She has had to have three surgeries in just a few short days with many broken bones and other extensive injuries. She won't be able to walk for at least three months and at that time will begin rehab to learn to walk again. She has a long road ahead of her but God has His hand on her. Through our love and support we can help her through this and be the hand of feet of Christ. She is an amazing young woman whom I believe God wants to bless immensely. I will post the story below for anyone new to her incredible miraculous story.

<div>I just witnessed the most horrific car accident on the interstate in Birmingham. A young girl (22) right in front of me lost control of her vehicle and hit the embankment flipping twice and was ejected from the SUV hitting a metal pole full force with her body and then landing on the ground.

<div>I think she may have been paying attention to the 5 cop cars on the opposite side of the interstate which were parked with their lights on. As soon as I was able to stop I jumped out of my car and ran to her. She was laying face down,  in shock, moaning and trying to roll over. 
</div>
<div>The first thing this young mama said was I HAVE A BABY! I immediately thought she meant the baby was in the car so as the police ran over I asked her if the baby was in the car. She said no and I then realized that was her motivation to live. I immediately started to pray over her and ask God to send His angels concerning her and covered her with prayer saying MERCY JESUS every time she screamed in pain.

<div>Not even five minutes later a very advanced off duty paramedic walks up who just happened to be on his way to get his son. (God send) Several other young men stopped as well. I told him she couldn't feel her legs and was bleeding between her legs and out of her mouth and what I had witnessed. We had to get a pair of sweatpants and use it as a tourniquet and rolled her over so she could breath. She also had a broken ankle which was bent like an L.  This man was exceptional at helping her and giving us all directions to help. She was screaming in pain and agony begging us to please stop as we rolled her over and tightened the tourniquet. She looked at me and said "am I going to die?" With so much fear in her eyes. I told her NO YOU WILL NOT DIE CJ. YOU'RE GOING TO LIVE DO YOU HEAR ME? GOD HAS HIS HAND ON YOU! I PROMISE YOU'RE NOT GOING TO DIE.

<div> The ambulance arrives not even 30 mins later which is nothing but God because in that area the police said it takes a minimum of an hour and maybe two to get there. I got her phone out of her car and blew the glass off of it and all the men loaded her into the ambulance. One of the officers came up to me and said "You know God had you here at that exact moment for a reason? I heard you praying over her." I just smiled and said yes.

<div> I want to find her and help her, all I know is they took her to UAB. She mentioned she didn't know how she was going to pay her rent or go to work. The things us mother's worry about at our absolute lowest...

In mid-September 2020, Maria woke up in <strong>excruciating pain</strong> but tried to continue on like it was a normal day. Later that evening, the pain had reached a point where she couldn't stand it any longer and went to the local ER. At the ER, the doctors told her she had chronic pancreatitis and calcifications within her pancreas. This is due to a genetic mutation called <strong>SP1NK</strong> which <span style="text-decoration:underline;">increases the chances of pancreas cancer as well as type one diabetes and calcifications</span>.  It is now <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Advanced Chronic Pancreatitis and she needs a very special surgery and transplant</span>.<br /><br /><strong>The pain stopped everything in Maria's life:</strong> sports, school, and social life. Her grades dropped significantly from not being able to focus from both pain and pain medication. She was no longer able to perform as the goalie for Virginia Tech's Club Water Polo team which isolated her from the sport and team she loved. Most days, Maria was unable to get out of bed which prevented her from seeing friends or being there for clubs. <br /><br /><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Eight months later with constant, excruciating pain</span>, 11 visits to the hospital, three ERCPs, a nerve block, and a rerouting surgery, Maria's dynamic medical team at Duke University Medical Center referred her to <strong>1 of only 10 Special Auto-Islet Transplant Centers</strong> in the Nation,  <span style="text-decoration:underline;">UNC Chapel HIll Medical Hospital</span>. The Specialists (Dr. Desai, one of the top Specialists in the world) have decided it was time to opt for <strong>total pancreatectomy with an auto-islet cell transplant  (TPIAT)</strong>. <br /><br />This <strong>is a 10 to 12-hour surgery </strong>and means that the surgeons will <span style="text-decoration:underline;">totally remove her pancreas, spleen, and gallbladder</span>. After the removal, <span style="text-decoration:underline;">the pancreas will be blended down to where it is just the healthy cells that make insulin (the islet cells) and will be infused (transplanted) into her liver</span>. If all goes well, Maria's liver will function as her pancreas. <br /><br />This surgery is extremely expensive and as of May 2, the insurance still refuses to cover any of it. <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Please consider donating to her GoFundMe and helping Maria return to her healthy college life</span>. A man that no matter his own short comings would always be there for others to help in any way he could. A man that wouldn't hurt a fly and was gentle as they came. Camie's Funeral Expenses

Our sweet, beautiful <strong>Hannah Davidson </strong>passed away Friday, July 17, 2020, just <strong>one day following her 29th birthday</strong>. Hannah was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer less than two months ago. She was 20 weeks pregnant at the time. The cancer was found in both lungs, and Hannah began the fight for her and the baby's life starting with targeted chemotherapy. After having trouble breathing, she was life-flighted to the University of Utah hospital (on Father's Day). She had a great sense of humor, and teased her husband, Ross, that a jet ride was his Father's Day present. She was put on a ventilator, and a week later, doctors added in traditional chemotherapy. On Monday, July 13, a tracheotomy was performed, and when Hannah came out of sedation, her body went into labor. She gave birth to Elsie Catharina Davidson (without a C-section). <strong>Elsie </strong>weighed 2 lbs. 5 oz. and<strong> is currently in the NICU with a big fight of her own ahead</strong>. A few days later, Hannah lost her battle with cancer.<br /><br />Hannah and her husband, Ross, would have celebrated their 10 year wedding anniversary this November. Ross and Hannah met at BYU-Idaho, and Hannah claimed she "stuffed" Ross in a church basketball game when they met. Over the last decade, they created a beautiful family and life together. This is a devastating loss to all who know her, but especially for her husband and their four children. Hannah was mother to Madison (age 7),  Mark (age 4),  Hyrum (age 21 months), and Elsie (less than a week old).<br /><br />Hannah found great joy in being a wife and mother. She was also a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and always shared her love of Jesus Christ, even throughout this painful trial. <br /><br />Ross and the children will need significant support and assistance as they face a life without Hannah's love and care. Ross will be forced to revisit his definition of "normal" in the absence of Hannah's sweet and gentle guidance in their family.<br />This fund will help with Hannah's funeral expenses, hospital bills for her and baby Elsie, and will also help with the care, maintenance and education of her children. This fund is created and managed by Ross's cousin, Vanessa (St. George, UT).  The family's need is immediate and the distribution of all donations will go directly to Hannah's husband, Ross Davidson.

￼With a VERY heavy heart that I update our family, friends, and associates. On June 17th, Tony left for vacation with his beautiful bride (Laura) of 23 years and his baby girl (Gabby) for Europe to visit their son in Germany and a 10-day adventure. During the flight, Tony had a massive heart attack and passed away at a German hospital. This happened only 6 weeks after being hit head-on while coming home from a visit with his grandchildren. We aren't sure if his heart attack was a direct cause of the accident, but we are doing everything we can to find out. BUT with that said Tony's family needs our help.

Whether you called him Anthony, Anton, Tony, T, Coach, Dad, or Babe, you all got that same smile that we ALL came to know and love. Some of us he taught in Sunday school, some on the baseball field and some in the workplace, but no matter where it was, he always had of teaching us some valuable lesson. One lesson we all can learn from his death is to make sure you have enough life insurance, Tony did not, and now his family is struggling to cover costs.

His passing in another country has put a huge expense in getting him home and covering the unexpected medical expenses. These costs exceed $35,000, and that is without funeral expenses. Laura only has a portion of it in their emergency fund. Losing a loved one is hard enough to get through, but adding the loss of his income to the family and these expenses it's all very overwhelming, BUT by coming together we can help. Car Hits 2 Beautiful Sisters

First, we would all like to say THANK YOU for your support and all of the prayers. To see the outpour of love for my father from so many people is just simply amazing!<br /><br />My Dad has been fighting hard for the last two months. Through testing it was confirmed that his cancer started in his pancreas and has spread to his liver, bile ducts, gall bladder and lymph nodes. For the last 8 weeks he has been receiving multiple IV's and ozone treatments. along with many home therapies.  His pain has been reduced significantly as well as the color in his eyes are now white again, and his urine is a lot lighter which is an excellent sign. His last blood test showed that his liver function was improving! The doctor said this could only mean one thing, the tumor is shrinking!!!<br /><br />The doctor said he is not a candidate for chemo or immunotherapy. However, they want to put him on another 5 week treatment plan that we believe will give him great results and the chance he needs to heal his body. It is an all natural plan that will cost approximately $15k and obviously is not covered by any insurance company. We have depleted all of the funds that have been raised towards his first 2 months of his treatment. My mother is going to do whatever it takes to get him the treatment he deserves.  My mom has been his caregiver 24/7 for the last 8 weeks and unfortunately has not been able to put anytime into her work. Please help me make this road easier for them and take the burden off their shoulders so they can just worry about healing him.  Any amount no matter how small will help make a HUGE difference. Urgency for Frank's New Treatment

On Thursday February 8 my family received the worst news we have ever had to bare. The core of our family, our fun-loving, jokester, healthy, and happy dad went into the ER and was told he had a tumor on his liver. 

The next day a biopsy was done and our family gathered together and hoped for the best. On February 14th we received a call from the Oncolgist. He said my Dad had been diagnosed with Stage 4 Adenocarcinoma. He said that it most likely did not originate in his liver but had metastasized there and there was potential it started in his pancreas. He said that his bile ducts were being effected and we had to move quickly. 

In the past week Frank's wife, kids, sisters, in-laws, and grandkids, have come together to fight this in many ways. We have put him on an all vegan, raw diet to make sure we are not feeding into the cancer. We have taken on whatever cancer killing remedies we have found and moved forward with them full force.

We have been informed that this is advanced and beyond surgery but we are determined to beat this and win. We will. We have been guided by trusting Oncologists to do alternative treatments which are unfortunately extremely expensive and not covered by insurance.

We are asking for prayers and support for those who have the means to help us fund these treatments.  My dad has the fight in him, so let's get him the help he needs to beat this.

Frank's fight against Cancer

After 50 rounds of chemo  she was told that the Chemo treatment was no longer working.  With colon cancer there is not many  options of chemo and she has exhausted her options, and her Doctors don't believe that she should put her body through the treatment if it's not working. But she is not going to give up. She will be starting a  clinical trial in UCSF. The new  medicine will target the  mutated cells that cause  tumors to become  cancerous. Donna will be apart of a  research group that will collect data for the  medical field. She feels that this is what she needs to do at this time.  Because not doing anything is not an option. We met with the Doctors of the  clinical trial on Monday and my mom feels  comfortable being in their care. By saying yes to the  clinical trial she is saying yes to helping partner with science and  medicine to find a cure so others will not have to walk the path she is on. Her faith is in God and she has trust in Him that this path to this new journey is what she is called to do at this time.<br />With a  clinical trial in UCSF that means lots of  travel to San Francisco and over nights as well. We thank each of you  in advance  for your love and support in this fight. The finial side of cancer is unexplainable. The finance side is something that we as a family do not want my mom to have to stress or worry about. She needs to focuse on her health and her happiness.  Donna is going to look forward to no more "Chemo Tuesday's" or long days at the  infusion room. She will miss her nurses and her friends she has made along the line. But is also excited to see who God will put in her path with this trial.  She is hoping that with this  medicine she will feel good and be able to spend time with her grandkids and going on advauntures with her hubby, she is looking forward to lunch dates with her girlfriends and she is excited that her days will not be spent connected to an IV for hours on end. At this time we do not have a start date but we know it will be in the next week or so. Prayers for a sound mind and Gods peace is what she needs. <br />#VersolaStrong

When you hear the name Donna Versola do the words mentor, friend, encourager, strong and giver come to mind? Most of you have heard that she has a few new words that describe her, Colon Cancer. She was diagnosed on Friday, September 12, 2014; a day that our family will never forget. We all know how strong she is and that she is a fighter. She will undergo treatments of chemotherapy every two weeks for the next six months. As of right now, the colon cancer has spread to her liver and lymph nodes. We are currently in the process of finding a specialist to look at her case. We believe that we will find the right doctor, the right facility and the right program, even if that means traveling out of town or out of state. Right now, getting her the best care that we can is our priority.<br /><br />On Wednesday, September 17, 2014, she was admitted to the hospital to begin her first round of chemotherapy treatments. The first 48 hours they pumped the chemo into her body. She was so strong through the process. All the love, prayers and support from family and friends from is helping her during this difficult time. The side effects of the chemotherapy vary from person to person, so we will take one day at a time. We know she is healthy and takes care of herself, so she will be able to fight this. We are asking for you to stand in agreement and pray with us. She truly feels that God is going to use this time for His plan and purpose. We believe that after six months of chemotherapy SHE WILL be 100% cancer free and will testify that Jesus heals the same as he did 2000 years ago. Standing together as a family, we will fight this battle and see victory.<br /><br />She has touched so many lives and many of you are asking how you can help or if there is anything you can do. Jeff Loving, more commonly known as "Mr. Loving" is a mentor in our community, as he is a teacher, coach, and friend to many. He and his lovely wife, Brenda, adopted 4 beautiful children from Ethiopia, Linnea, Luke, Lailie, and Landon.  Unfortunately once Jeff and Brenda's family was complete, Brenda's cancer that was in remission resurfaced once again.
