Help Mustafa's family in Gaza

<div>My name is Hani Almadhoun, and my family and friends live in the North of Gaza, Palestine. Most aid is being blocked at the border, and there isn’t nearly enough to fight back the famine or save my loved ones. So we decided to do something about it.

<div>My brother, Mahmoud Almadhoun, and his friends volunteered to start a soup kitchen in Bait Lahia, to provide hot meals to friends and neighbors. They bought four large pots, purchased wood for the fire, and risked their lives to dig up potatoes. They also purchased tomato paste and cooking oil, and three hours later, 120 families had food for the day. The next day 150 starved families ate from the kitchen.

<div>Word spread rapidly, and the next day, even more neighbors arrived. Mahmoud sprang into action, venturing out to procure ingredients for a fresh meal. He returned with leafy greens, onions, and mushrooms, crafting a new dish that was as delightful as it was nourishing. The kitchen's capacity has now expanded to accommodate meals for up to 3000 people daily, and the numbers continue to grow. For many, this was their first substantial meal in days, and the departure from canned food was a welcomed change that filled hearts with gratitude.

</li>
<li>Additionally, they are located in the heart of the market, so they can easily spot any of these veggies and cooking essentials arriving at the market.

<li>They have also visited farms close to the Green Line to find veggies and have been lucky a few times. Once, they purchased overgrown zucchinis that should have been picked weeks ago.
</li>
<li>Mom and my sisters lovingly wake up early to peel and prep the food for the day's meals.
</li>

<div>Before the war, I lived a normal life with my dear wife, Amal, who is 27, and our three children—Zain-Aldeen, who is 7, Mohammad, who is 5, and Alma, our little girl who is not yet two.

<div>I owned a small business and we had a beautiful home.
</div>

<div>‎‏But that all changed one dark morning.
</div>

<div>‎‏ On the morning of October 7, 2023 The sound of explosions shattered the quiet of northern Gaza. In the midst of the chaos and the deafening blasts surrounding us, my family and I tried to escape from the brutal reality we were facing.

<div>‎‏We struggled to walk through streets filled with rubble, desperately seeking shelter as we moved south.
</div>

<div>‎‏During our harrowing journey, we met another family—samar, a 26-year-old girl, her 16-year-old sister Ghazal, and her young brother , not even five years old. They had been separated from their parents in the chaos of the bombardment.

<div>Together, we continued our trek southward, hoping to find some form of safety.

<div>‎‏When we arrived in the southern part of Gaza, we were left in the open—no homes, no shelters, no safety. I did my best to gather any cloths I could find and built a makeshift tent for both families.

<div>‎‏This "tent" offered no protection from the heat or the cold, and was overrun with insects and flies.
</div>

<div>‎‏And so, I became the sole provider for both families, a caretaker for the children in the absence of their parents.

<div>‎‏One day, as was often the case, I took my son Mohammad with me to the market to buy some food. In that moment, the sound of drones overhead was followed by the sudden burst of gunfire. The next thing I knew, shrapnel struck my head, and Mohammad was injured in his legs.

<div>‎‏We were rushed to the field hospital set up by the International Medical Commission, where we were immediately taken into surgery. The doctors did their best to save us, but Mohammad's injuries were severe. He now urgently needs medical treatment outside Gaza.

The Struggle for Safety and Survival: Your Help is Our Only

They, just like many others, desperately need assistance caring for their family and evacuating Gaza. I have created this page to help raise funds for the family. This is her message to you:

<div>I am Maryam from the Gaza Strip. I am 35 years old. I am married and have two children, Muhammad and Mahmoud. I am now seven months pregnant. I was living happily with my husband and children in our beautiful house until October 7th came and the war on Gaza began.

<div>Our home, a testament to the love and hard work of my family, was shattered beyond repair.
