What they care about

I am a domestic violence survivor who’s overcame over 10 years of substance use. I just buried our 6 week old daughter, Alessia….SIDS…..We are grieving HARD.

Just for a quick update, i spoke directly with the pathologist who is handling Alessias autopsy and she told me that she’s found absolutely nothing and exhausted every test. she’s working very hard to give a cause of death for her daughter, although there’s nothing left, other than to go over everything one last time. After that, it will simply just be listed as SIDS.
Thank you EVERYONE! This has been absolutely incredible, and has shown me the good of the world while experiencing the darkest times I will ever experience in my life. There has been an update on her autopsy that her death was NOT due to co sleeping, however, they still do not have a cause of death and have exhausted everything and every test they could do. I will post a link to her funeral below, as I know many people were not able to come or see it https://www.youtube.com/live/jXsN_ggcPsw?is=UY7y5h1GS6O_qUdP KEEP ALESSIAS NAME ALIVE!!!
For a quick update, things are getting better. So, so, slowly. But each day that passes is a little easier than the day prior. We still wake up, thinking, hoping, praying that this was just a nightmare. And then reality slaps you in the face and you remember that your daughter is not in your arms. She’s not next to you. I am so grateful for everybody who has donated in the traction that this GoFundMe has gained. I’m grateful that sharing my story may save just ONE, even just ONE baby. SIDS or co sleeping accident, the guilt, the shame, the horrifying nightmares, feeling as if I failed as a mother to protect my sweet daughter Alessia, is not worth the risk. I’m so grateful that my tragic story has already caused mothers to stop co sleeping. I may have saved a life without even knowing it. Thank you for everybody that has donated and shared. It means the world to me and my family that we were able to keep going and grieve together. It is taking so much weight off of our shoulders financially. I asked that everybody continues to share, even just for the message, the horrifying lesson that i learned. KEEP ALESSIAS NAME ALIVE!!! ❤️❤️
I am truly so grateful for all the donations. I cannot believe I have gained this much traction in such a little time. I want everyone to know how much it means to me, my family and my son! We’re able to get bills caught up, and have some room to breathe as we’re grieving our sweet angel Alessia. ❤️❤️

My 6 week old daughter passed away August 27th. This has been the most incredible heartbreaking situation a mother or parent could ever go through. We are struggling financially as my husband has been out of work to support me and our 15 month son.

Thank you, everyone for the help. I truly didn’t think it would get, this far, this fast. But i am so eternally grateful for everyone who is helping support my family. The days are hard and the nights are even harder, but each day passes seems to be slightly easier.
My name is Delaine, and I am creating this fundraiser for myself and my family as we try to survive an unimaginable loss. My husband, our child, and I are grieving the death of our six-week-old daughter. I fell asleep with her and woke up four hours later to find that she had died. We are heartbroken, overwhelmed, and doing our best to make it through each day while carrying this pain. Right now, we need help covering the ongoing expenses that do not stop while we grieve. These funds will help us keep up with our mortgage, basic household bills, and essential items for our 15-month-old son. Having steady support would help us protect our home, keep food and necessities coming in, and give us a little room to breathe as we try to stabilize. If you cannot donate, sharing this fundraiser with others would be a huge help. Thank you for caring for my family during this devastating time.
