Losing our dad on December 28th, 2025, changed everything for my sister and me. Not only did we lose someone we loved deeply, but we also lost the financial support that helped us keep up with rent and utilities. Since then, we've fallen behind, and it feels impossible to catch up. On top of that, my sister is facing stage four terminal colon cancer, and the stress of our situation has been incredibly hard on her. I’m doing everything I can to keep us afloat, but the weight of it all is overwhelming. Giving up isn’t an option—I have my sister to think about, and I’m not leaving her. Staying in our home is so important to us because it’s where we feel closest to our dad, and we’re not ready to let go of that connection just yet. Our rent is due tomorrow, April 5th, and I’m not sure what’s going to happen. We just have to hope we don’t lose our house and the feeling of security we have here with our dad. My sister and I have always tried to be as generous and kind as we can, giving more than we get back. I would do anything to help someone in need, and I hope there are people out there like us who believe in kindness and generosity. Unfortunately, we’ve come across people who have taken advantage of us, and we’ve even lost everything we owned. I was even scammed once on GoFundMe, so I’m being cautious. The funds from this fundraiser will help us pay two or three months ahead on rent and get our utilities up to date. This would give us some much-needed breathing room to focus on my sister’s health and honor our parents’ wishes by taking their ashes to the coast and the mountains. Your support would mean the world to us. For once, we might be able to relax and start over, even if just for a little while. We need the help very badly, and I hope the kindness in people will come out to help us. Thank you so much for considering a donation and for being there for us during this incredibly difficult time.
My name is Dee, and I’m reaching out during one of the most difficult times my sister Sharon and I have ever faced. Not long ago, we lost our father unexpectedly, and the grief has been overwhelming. As we try to process this loss, we’re also facing another heartbreaking challenge: Sharon was diagnosed with stage four terminal colon cancer in 2021. Watching her fight every day is both inspiring and deeply painful, and I want nothing more than to give her some peace and stability during this time. With our father gone, we’ve struggled to keep up with rent and utilities. The fear of losing our home on top of everything else has been almost too much to bear. This house means so much to us—it’s the last place our dad was, and it’s where we feel closest to him. The thought of losing it is incredibly hard to explain. We’re doing everything we can to stay afloat, but we’ve reached a point where we need help from our community. Every donation or share helps us find a little breathing room and gives Sharon some comfort as she continues her fight. If you’re able, please consider supporting or sharing our story. Your kindness and generosity mean the world to us, and we are so grateful for any help you can offer. Thank you for being part of our support system and for helping us hold onto hope.
My sister and I are facing the hardest time of our lives. We recently lost our father unexpectedly, and with his passing, we also lost the financial support that kept us afloat. Now, we’re facing eviction, our utilities are about to be shut off, and we’re running out of time to find a solution. My sister is battling stage four terminal colon cancer, and the stress of possibly losing our home is something she simply cannot handle right now. We have always tried to help others, but now we find ourselves alone and in desperate need. Our family is scattered—one brother couldn’t come home for our parents’ funerals, and another is busy with his own family. It’s just the two of us, along with Miss Gabby, my emotional support animal, trying to hold on. I’ve tried every avenue for help, but after being misled by a fake charity, I’m left feeling lost and scared. The funds from this fundraiser will go directly toward paying two to three months of rent in advance and catching up on overdue utilities. This will give us a little breathing room while we wait for life insurance and other support to come through. I want nothing more than to keep my sister safe and give her some peace during this incredibly difficult time. If you can help, even in a small way, it would mean the world to us. Thank you for reading our story and for any support you can give.
