<div>Krishana is the first Black woman to serve as Chief of Staff for the Lieutenant Governor of North Carolina. Krishana’s appointment marked a significant step forward in representation and leadership within state government. Her dedication to public service has made her a beloved and respected figure in North Carolina.

<div>On Dec 31, 2024 Krishana and her mother went to St. Peter’s Church &amp; World Outreach Center in Winston-Salem,NC for a New Year’s Eve celebratory service featuring Maranda Curtis. The program was scheduled to start at 10 pm. The program concluded shortly after midnight and we along with 100+ people departed the sanctuary into the church parking lot. Upon leaving the church we could hear fire crackers and see the sparks in the far off distance. There were 100+ people moving through the parking area to their vehicle. As we proceeded towards our vehicle walking beside us were two other women, Krishana was shot in the left-side of her neck.

<div>Thanks to a gentleman who said he had EMT experience and came to assist recognize she was bleeding out call out for something to stop her bleeding. A woman I learned later, by the named Princess gave him her scarf that he used to apply pressure to stop the bleeding. Police arriving on the scene immediately said that celebrating gunfire had been reported in the area. They said individuals customarily fired shots in the air and suggested that was she was hit by a stray bullet. When EMS arrived they prep her and she was transported to Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. where she was treated and discharged 24 hours later with the bullet lodged in her neck. Her prognosis is cautiously optimistic. There’s evidence of nerve damage to left-side extremities. Additional imaging is pending to assess the extent of damage.

Help Krishana Heal from a New Year's Tragedy

<div>On August 5th, 2022, Jennifer Kemp suddenly left her family and friends on earth for the peace of heaven. We are absolutely heartbroken. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt and friend. As the family begins the grieving process, others have asked what they can do to help. We would like to start a memorial fund on their behalf to help with the costs of funeral expenses and travel.

It is with an extremely heavy heart to say that Laz passed away early this morning due to Covid-19 complications. Words cannot even express the loss we are all feeling. Lazaro was a part of the FHP family since 2009. Laz was always there when you needed him. He was an amazing zone partner and was there ASAP when backup was needed. At the young age of only 42 he leaves behind his wife Luisa, his 6 year old son Lucas, and his 5 month old baby girl Lucia. I ask that you please find it in your heart to donate to help this beautiful family through these really rough times that are ahead. All the monies donated will go directly to his wife, son, and daughter for upcoming expenses. We appreciate any help that you can give. Thank you.

We are so grateful for the support of our community in changing the world - one kid at a time.<br /><br />Here is what we need help with:<br /><br />1) prayers for safe travels, energy for the missionaries, favor in all we do<br />2) soccer ministry.  We need plane fare, room and board for the coach. Total: $875.00<br />We need balls, cones and cleats for the older kids. Total: 275.00<br />3) massage ministry: We need oils, sanitizer, lotions to use, small oils to take home. Total $150.00<br />4) El Durazno lunch: We need hamburgers, hotdogs, chips, sodas, ice cream for 200: $800.00<br />5) El Durazno outing: We need staples for the "goodie bags" (beans, rice, sugar, oil, tortillas, corn) Total $1,450.00<br />6) race day field day: We need prizes and food for 130. <div>You’ll probably find him laughing… and watching Outdoor Boys on YouTube—dreaming about the rugged outdoors, adventure, and Alaska. That channel planted the seed. This opportunity made it real.
