Hi everyone, my name is Tee Cahill and I’m currently a struggling college student trying to raise money for my mom, Alicia Spear’s, funeral costs and celebration of life. My mom is passing from a rare disease called Huntington's disease. It’s a disease that attacks both the body and mind, and over time it has led to her body shutting down. When she first started getting ill, she was very scared because her mom, sister, and grandmother all passed from the same disease. She didn’t want to acknowledge it, and repressed it until it was too late. She didn’t pre-plan for anything, and now she doesn’t have life insurance, any funds, or a will. This has made planning her funeral feel like an impossible task, but she still deserves a proper funeral and a celebration of her life. My mom overcame so much in her lifetime. She battled cancer, drug addiction, and so much more. Her strength and determination shaped who I am today, and I want her to be remembered for the battles she fought and the love she gave. Even in the face of fear and uncertainty, she always tried to protect me and give me the best life she could. The only family she has to rely on is me, her son. I am trying my hardest, but I am unfortunately a full-time college student with a part-time job. I am struggling so much with grief and responsibilities, and I need help bringing her funeral costs together. I’ve struggled so much with the idea of being so vulnerable online, but for my mom, I want to give her the world and this is the least I can do. Please help if you can. Any support means so much to me and will help me honor my mom with the farewell she deserves.
