What they care about

I am passionate about helping others and creating opportunities that can change lives.

Hello, my name is Larissa dos Santos Ebbing. I am 21 years old, from Brazil, and I want the opportunity to study Psychology at Brigham Young University–Idaho. This dream means everything to me. During my LDS mission, I went through experiences that changed my life. There were moments when I felt overwhelmed and unsure, but I was blessed with people who showed me Christlike love, patience, and understanding. That support lifted me when I needed it most—and it inspired me to want to do the same for others. I want to become someone who helps people feel seen, heard, and supported, especially those going through difficult emotional and spiritual challenges. That is why I chose to study Psychology. But this dream comes with a challenge. As an international student, the cost of tuition, housing, and living expenses is more than my family and I can afford on our own. We are doing everything we can, but I still need help to make this possible. It is not easy for me to ask, but I truly cannot do this alone. If you feel inspired to help, even a small contribution would mean so much to me. And if you are not able to donate, sharing this campaign could make a difference in ways you may not realize. Your kindness is not just helping me go to school—it is helping me become someone who can one day lift others the way I have been lifted. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for believing in me.
