<div>Hello, I'm Wesal.. Did you forget about us?.. I went through very difficult and harsh days, and thanks to God we live and struggle to continue.. For the first time, I had a cesarean section because the amniotic fluid had descended green.. My fetus was in danger and had to be saved. I had a cesarean section for the first time. My three children had been born naturally before.. The cesarean section was successful and they saved my fetus, thank God. The hospital was very crowded at the time.. I had not planned a cesarean section. I was waiting for a natural birth and all the operating rooms were occupied. I had to give birth in a room that was not completely sterile due to the difficulty of the delivery and the danger it would pose to my fetus's life.. During the operation, ....... I was exposed to a serious bacterial infection that destroyed tissues and cells. It is called flesh-eating bacteria, similar to gangrene. I sat for five days crying from a high fever in my bones and constant chills. The doctor did not understand my condition after the infection spread to the tissues and the skin turned black.  They called the surgeon and he understood my condition.. He told me the importance of performing the operation immediately as it was life-threatening.. I went in for the operation and my stomach was cut, and all the tissues that were destroyed by bacteria, thank God, did not reach the organs. My stomach was left open for cleaning and monitoring the tissues, cutting them with a scalpel when the bacteria kill them.. Then a suction device was placed to absorb the wound secretions.. This reduced the size of the large operation, the hole that appeared in my abdomen.. until I was fully healed.....

<p>The United Nations has warned that hundreds of thousands of people in Gaza are on the brink of starvation. About two million Palestinians are facing acute levels of hunger after many of them lost their homes and livelihoods.

<p>Fadel was a personal trainer and owned a store before the war, and his store was destroyed by Israeli bombs. 80% of residential buildings in Gaza are destroyed and over 1 and a half million people are squeezed into Rafah, a horrific situation that will only get worse.

<p>It's obvious that Fadel has lost a lot of weight when compared to his Facebook photos from five months ago. Himself and his family and in-laws have moved several times and are at their wits end.

</p>
<p>My name is Fadel Saad Ismail Al-Saifi. I was a university student and supported myself for the costs of studying. Until I finished, I went to work to collect money, get married, and build an apartment. I was 21 years old at that time, and after 10 years, I was able to build my future. I opened a clothing store and a small apartment, and I saved a sum of money. In order to get married there, but the damned war came and took all of that from me, and there is nothing, no place, no apartment, no place.

<p>I was displaced from Gaza, I and my sister, who is married and has 7 people, and my brother is married and has 3 people, and my other brother is married and has 3 people, and my aunt is also married and has 5 people. First, we were in Al-Insarat. We saw death there because the bombing of the town was intense, and the army told us to go to the city of Rafah, but there was none. I have no money, and neither does my father. I had a friend from whom I borrowed money, and I set up 4 tents. It cost me a lot of money, about a thousand dollars. We bought a few things and mattresses. There is no income and no fixed salary, and I am afraid of another displacement from Rafah.

All of this is beyond his capacity, and he deserves a better life.

For the past two years, I have watched Abdullah and his family endure displacement, loss, and unimaginable hardship. Today, they are back in their home, but their struggle is far from over.

<div>When we first created this campaign nearly two years ago, Abdullah and his family had been repeatedly displaced from their home in Al-Rimal, Gaza City. Their home had been severely damaged, and they were forced to flee south, first to Khan Yunis, then to Rafah, and eventually to the Mawasi area of Khan Yunis. At the time, our hope was that they would eventually be able to evacuate Gaza and reach safety.

<div>After the first ceasefire, Abdullah and his family were finally able to return to their home. Since then, they have been doing everything they can to make it livable again.

<div>Over the past several months, they have made significant improvements to the house and repaired some of the damage. But rebuilding a home after years of war is not something that happens overnight. They continue to face serious problems with sewage and damaged pipes, rodents and other pests, and the high cost of food, water, household supplies, and other basic necessities.

<div>Nearly every dollar raised over the past two years has gone toward helping Abdullah and his family survive.
</div>

</div>
<div>Our original fundraising goal was $30,000, which was based largely on the enormous cost of potential evacuation at the time. However, after two years of displacement, survival expenses, and the ongoing costs of repairing and rebuilding their home, those funds have understandably been spent.

<div>Despite everything he and his family have endured over the past two years, Abdullah has continued his work as a social worker. He has spent the past two years volunteering through the Dr. Haider Abdel Shafi Center for Culture and Development, helping support people in his community during an extraordinarily difficult time. His commitment to helping others has continued even while he himself has been facing displacement, loss, and hardship.

<div>Abdullah is also a poet and writer. His poetry has been published both in print and online, including in the anthology The Poetry of Angry Black and Brown People and through Ancestral Currents. <div>Gaza, my beloved home is completely destroyed. My family’s house was in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood. They had to leave it very suddenly on a Friday almost 6 months ago now.

<div>On October 13, the army threatened to evacuate the north. To find more safety, my family evacuated their home and headed to the south, with only their clothes and important papers. They thought it would perhaps last a week and then they could go home. But what's been temporary bare survival is now what they are faced with every day. They took shelter in my aunt’s house in Khan Younes. But then they stormed Khan Younes. They lived a terrifying night and were surrounded by tanks. They managed to escape and make the 5km walk to Rafah by the beach, with the children and what they could take. Now they are living in tents in Rafah, which is under threat of attack. There is no other place to escape to if they storm the city of Rafah. They are all on top of each other there, camping 24/7 now after a long winter.

<div>The war has stripped us of any sense of safety, crucial medical care, and the warmth of their home, leaving them vulnerable to the elements and the uncertainties of having had to move over 3 times.

<div>My father is battling a coronary artery blockage, and my mother suffers from rheumatoid arthritis and diabetes. Right now, they can’t get the necessary medical care because of the ongoing onslaught on Gaza and the little medical capacity that remains.

<div>The situation is growing more desperate with each passing day, as the bombardments around Rafah and all across the Strip are relentless.

<div>I had been running his own new-build apartment cleaning business while also washing carpets and sofas. All his equipment was destroyed by a missile strike.

<div>My younger brother, Amjad, a promising student and freelance designer, Amjad, loved learning very much. He had a passion for programming and design. He taught himself graphic design, like his big sister and was working as a freelancer at the age of 16. This year he was supposed to finish high school and move on to university, but the unexpected happened. Now, he is helping provide for the family and making sure there is water, woods and helping my mother knead the flour and bake it for bread. That's when flour can be found.

I am Currently displaced for the third time in the Mawasi area of Rafah, after my house was bombed and completely destroyed, and we lost our shelter. Me and 9 members of my family are all under bombardment, and death could visit us at any moment. I'm writing to you from the Mawasi area in Rafah, in the midst of the current war in Gaza. Everything around us was destroyed in an instant, leaving us homeless and  deprived of our livelihoods.Even our food has become unhealthy, lacking in fruits, all kinds of meats, and many types of vegetables. There is also a lack of clean water, forcing us to buy drinking water at very high prices. Additionally, my grandmother suffers from chronic diseases such as hypertension, heart disease, and diabetes, requiring numerous medications—18 types in total. However, only a few of these medications are available, and even when they are, they often don't meet her needs. She suffers greatly due to the scarcity of medications and the lack of healthy food.</span>

<div>My name is Mohammed Al-Banna, and I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart, alongside my little brother, Ahmed Al-Banna. Ahmed is a brave young boy who suffers from hearing disabilities, an affliction made all the more challenging under our current dire circumstances. We have six sisters and two parents who love us, we do all we can to support and protect them. We are from the land known for its olive trees, a place that once held our dreams and aspirations but is now merely a shadow of its former self due to ongoing struggles.

<div>Over 300 days ago, our lives were uprooted, and we were forced to flee our home. We found shelter in a makeshift tent on a beach, far from the comfort and security we once knew. The occupation taking place in our land has taken everything from us—our home, our belongings, and our peace. Now, we survive day-to-day, with limited access to basic necessities such as clean water and food. For the first six months of this conflict, we sought refuge in the south, only to be displaced once again when conflict engulfed the area in May.

<div>The conditions we live under are unbearable and no human should ever have to endure them. Each day is a test of survival, each moment filled with fear, especially for the safety of my brother, Ahmed and my dear sisters. We are trapped in a relentless cycle of despair, facing dangers that threaten to consume us entirely.

<div>In the midst of this chaos, we are desperately seeking the support of kind-hearted individuals around the world. Your generosity can help us escape this nightmare and provide a safer environment where Ahmed can receive the care he needs, and our family can begin to rebuild our lives.
