Title:Seeking Support After Homelessness, Trauma & Recent Hospitalisation
Post:Hi everyone. My name is Emmanuel, and I’m reaching out because I’ve hit a point in life I never imagined I would face.
I survived three wars, the 1994 Rwandan genocide, and nine years in refugee camps before arriving in Australia as a teenager. I worked hard for years to build a stable life here — in mining, manufacturing, solar quality testing, and as a licensed casino security officer.
But over the past two years, everything collapsed.I became homeless, lost access to my belongings and car, and have been walking long distances every day just to survive. I’ve tried to get help through the proper systems, but I’ve fallen through every gap.
Recently, my health deteriorated and I was admitted to Fiona Stanley Hospital. The photo on my GoFundMe was taken during that time. It’s not easy to share, but it shows the reality of what I’ve been going through.
I’m raising funds to cover:
Temporary accommodation
Basic essentials
A small $2,000 car
Rebuilding stability
I’m not someone who asks for help easily. I’ve always worked and pushed through. But right now, I can’t do this alone.
If you’re able to help — even a small amount — it would mean more than I can express. And if you can’t donate, sharing the link still helps a lot.

I’m raising funds for temporary accommodation, basic essentials, and a small car so I can attend appointments, work, and rebuild stability after homelessness and recent hospitalisation.
