Hey guys. I am creating this GoFundMe in hopes of helping myself and my children with our vehicle expenses. I have gone through every route of trying to get a small loan through my bank, through online services, and even though I have a fair credit score, I don’t have a long enough credit history. My FICO score of 635 means the bank would need a 700 score co-borrower. I have a few people who would be willing to be my cosigner. It just hasn’t worked out with their score either. I was on my way to California for a family emergency. I made it through the entire trip and was on my way home to Montana. I ended up breaking down and needing a new transmission. I paid between $1000 in tows, over $600 in hotel rooms, and $2712.50 put down on my vehicle to start the repair. My vehicle is now fixed and ready to be picked up in Oregon. I need about $1360 to pick up my vehicle. I am trying to create a GoFundMe and request $2000 to help me purchase a train and bus ticket to get to my vehicle, pay my auto shop $1360.00, and have the ability to purchase gas to get home. My name is Haley, and I am making a GoFundMe on behalf of my California family. My uncle bear passed and shortly after his wife Dena Baker. This is a message from Diana Baker’s daughter Waniesha Ortiz. “I don’t even know where to begin… Our family is completely heartbroken. In such a short time, we have lost my mom, Dena Baker, and her husband Bear. The pain of losing one parent is unimaginable—losing two, back to back, feels unbearable. My mom lived a life that wasn’t always kind to her. She faced struggles, battles, and heartbreak that many people never saw. But she was still my mom. She was still loved. And she still deserved more time. After already grieving the tragic loss of Bear—who was taken suddenly in a motorcycle accident when someone swerved into his lane—we are now facing the reality of laying them both to rest. What hurts even more is knowing the two boys they were raising, Sage and Ray, are now left without both of their parents. Our hearts ache for them in a way words can’t fully explain. My uncle Bear left nine. The two of them together we’re raising two of their grandchildren. I have some amazing cousins that are really stepping up. They are taking this on. They already had families of their own to support. I applaud their bravery and their ability to step up in the most challenging times. Today I’m asking our communities to come together and help my cousin's with an opportunity to sit down and grieve properly. Taking away some of the financial burden is huge. They have not had an opportunity to sit in their own thoughts as they scramble to pull everything together and respond to everyone who has reached out.
