<font color="#333333">Raising financial support for 17 yr old Tara Shetterly!<br />  Hello to all! Our daughter Tara who was 16 at the time was involved in an automobile accident while riding as a passenger on October 14,2020 in Norfolk va o the corner of Olney rd and colley avenue. The vehicle Tara was in was struck by another vehicle on her passenger side , causeing the truck to roll over and Tara was violently thrown out of the closed back cab window. First responders carried her to Sentara Norfolk hospital, where it was determined that Tara sustained an aortic dissection( a tear) and had to have emergency surgery to stop the bleeding and damage to her heart with a mesh implant that stays in for life. She wasn’t able to move or feel below the waist and doctors told us after the X-rays that she had a spinal cord injury at T11 and T12 complete. The worst spinal cord injury he has seen in all of the 30 yrs he has been a surgeon the doctor says. 2 days later Tara has major back surgery to have a long rod placed where her spine is and fitted with a big plastic body cast she wore for 3 months. She was release from the hospital exactly one month after the accident on November 13,2020 and an ambulance brought her home where she is now still trying to heal and learn how to take care of her basic needs all over again in a different way now, without the use of her legs. The injury is permanent. Forever. But Tara says she has faith in God and his powers to heal and that she prays each day for recovery and for the lord to help her through these darkest days. Physical therapy is grueling and painful , outpatient several times a week. Specialist appointments and learning how to transfer from her wheel chair to a car or bath tub or bed or toilet. All day long requires her to learn how to transfer which takes a lot of upper body strength and practice.<br /><br />Doctors have classified her as a complete paraplegic. Although she had many days of crying out in pain and being on pain medication and feeling so ill from side effects to some 10plus medications all day and night, Tara was still eager to finish her last year of high school early just as she had planned to do before her accident. 2/12 months after leaving the hospital Tara worked hard on her school work, made up for a month of missing work while being hospitalized and finished school in February just as her goal always had been. Our family is so proud of her. She’s filled out online applications for college, says she wants a career in the medical field and has discussed with our pastor what her calling in life might be now that she is paralyzed from the waist down. She’s been so emotionally strong and her outlook on her life now is not that of hopelessness and despair but instead, continuing to live because God has gifted her with more time to live. Everyday, although disabled, is such a blessing to have and she is determined to make her life count and be happy and to Live.<br /><br />Tara will need so many things now and we need help raising the money to pay for them. In need of a stairlift and installation of one runs into thousands, in need of wheel chair ramps, copays on equipment etc... she can no longer urinate on her own and every few hours she must catheterize herself. She cannot live in the house we are currently in because it’s not handicap assessable and her wheel chair won’t fit thru the hall corner or bathroom/ bedroom doors so we must move in the next few weeks. The only place she can get her wheel chair around at is in the basement so she is stuck alone in the basement with no heat and away from her family until we can move out of here into an assecible home. The cost of everything is astronomical, and my heart just goes out to her because she’s such a good sweet kid. <br /><br />Please know that even the smallest donation of just 1.00$ is very appreciated and there’s no donation too small.<br /><br />If donations come in Tara and I will thank each person individually and post pictures and updates of what we were able to provide for her useing your contribution that you so graciously donated and her accomplishments and how she is comming along in her PT will be posted for people who may be concerned about how she’s comming along.<br /><br />Please help giver her the start in life that she is wanting to give to society and of herself<br />She still sees the beauty in life, please show her that there’s people out there that care!- Thankyou The Shetterly family</font>

Your extra is someone’s need !

<div>Hello, my name is Ryan and I am the creator of Tiny Tiny Homes. I know how important it is to have a safe and secure place to call home, and I believe that everyone deserves that basic human right. Living in downtown Toronto, it breaks my heart to see the housing crisis everywhere, with tents in parks and people sleeping outside. Tents are for camping, not for housing. That's why I came up with the idea of creating a tiny home that is on a bicycle. This model is insulated, weatherproof, and watertight. The camper has a sofa that converts to a bed. Solar power for the lights and fan. Desk and 12 cubic feet of storage under the bed. This camper will provide people with a secure and comfortable place to live. I want to make a difference in people's lives, and that's why I am raising funds to buy materials to build my next tiny home. The first model i funded myself. My goal is to raise $2.23m to house everyone that is turned away from a shelter every night in Toronto. This will help me rent a larger shop space to build and store materials so I can bring the cost of each unit lower. I will construct more units and give the units away to persons in need. Each creates a safe and comfortable home for those who need it the most.

<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I would love if people would like to join my team. I'm looking for help with social media and marketing. I am looking to connect with housing advocacy groups. Any help is appreciated. I also will accept donations of plywood, caulking, PL, and rectangle tubing and rv windows. I am also looking for a larger shop space.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>By supporting my cause, you are not only helping me build tiny homes, but you are also helping to provide a solution to the housing crisis in our community. Your contribution will make a huge impact in someone's life, and I cannot thank you enough for your kindness and generosity. Together, we can make a real difference in the world, one tiny home at a time.

<div>****Update*****
</div>
<div>Hello everybody,

</div>
<div>On behalf of Ralph and our entire family, thank you so much for your generosity. It has warmed our souls during an incredibly difficult time. Of course we never anticipated so much support for Ralph, but we wanted you to know that we are working with a certified financial advisor to establish a Trust to properly receive the funds and use them for all of the original purposes we described. All funds will be used for Ralph's benefit, as his well-being and safety is our highest priority. Right now we will continue to focus on Ralph's recovery, but in the future we are considering setting up a charity.

</div>
<div>Again, thank you so much for your support.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>***Update on Ralph***
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Ralph is currently at home with the family. He can ambulate and communicate. A true miracle considering what he survived.
</div>
<div>Each day is different. He has a long road ahead. However, we are very thankful that he is still here with us. I've been taking the time to read the emails and comments to Ralph. It warms our hearts to see him smile at all the kind words.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you so much for loving Ralph
</div>
<div>----------------
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On Thursday, April 13, 2023, my nephew Ralph P Yarl was on his way to pick up his twin younger brothers from their friend's house a few blocks away from his house. He didn't have his phone. He mistakenly went to the wrong house, one block away from the house where his siblings were. He pulled into the driveway and rang the doorbell. The man in the home opened the door, looked my nephew in the eye, and shot him in the head. My nephew fell to the ground, and the man shot him again. Ralph was then able to get up and run to the neighbor's house, looking for help.
</div>
<div>Unfortunately, he had to run to 3 different homes before someone finally agreed to help him after he was told to lie on the ground with his hands up.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Ralph Pual Yarl is a fantastic kid, and I am not just saying this because he is my nephew. He truly is. At school, he is a member of the Technology Student Association and Science Olympia Team. Jazz and competition band. He is a section leader in the marching band; a scholar and one of the top bass clarinet players in Missouri. He recently earned Missouri All-State Band recognition with an honorable mention. He plays multiple instruments in the metropolitan youth orchestra. He is a 2022 Missouri scholar academy alumni. Ralph can often be found with a musical instrument. He loves them all.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Last summer, Ralph attended Missouri Scholar’s Academy, where he got a full college life experience. His goal is to attend Texas A&amp;M to major in chemical Engineering. When asked how he plans to get into this university, he said, “Well, if they have a scholarship for music or academics, I know I can get it.”
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Ralph's teacher and friends describe him as “ a kind soul,” “quiet,” “friendly,” “well-mannered,” “always willing to help,” “super smart,” and a “musical genius.”
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Ralph was looking forward to graduating high school and finally getting the opportunity to visit West Africa before starting college.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Life looks a lot different right now. Even though he is doing well physically, he has a long road ahead mentally and emotionally. The trauma that he has to endure and survive is unimaginable. He is our miracle. We have heard these types of stories many times, and unfortunately, most black boys are not alive to get another chance.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Ralph deserves to have the future that he has dreams about. He deserves to be the light that shows the world that LOVE wins and that humanity is still Good.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>However, he will need a lot of help to get there. Funds from this account will be used for his medical bills and therapy.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Any additional funds will be use for college expenses at Texas A&amp;M, a trip to West Africa, and other expenses.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you
</div>

Ralph Yarl

<div>The Red River Women's Clinic of Fargo, North Dakota, is readying a new location in Moorhead, Minnesota, in preparation for the Dobbs v Jackson decision.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>RRWC has served as North Dakota's only abortion clinic for over 20 years. As a state with a trigger-ban in place, North Dakota would ban abortion in 30 days if Roe v Wade is overturned. This clinic-contingency plan a few miles away (and across the Red River) is the best option to ensure care is not interrupted for people seeking abortions in this region.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As an independent provider, they do not have the name and notoriety to fall back on for funding like national organizations would be able to. But as an "indie clinic", they're also able to meet the unique needs of our region with the most tailored, compassionate care.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Space has been purchased in Moorhead, MN but renovations and furnishings are needed while care continues at the Fargo, ND location (as long as it is legally allowed). Operating one clinic while renovating another will be incredibly expensive and capital is needed.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Per a recent article in the <a href="https://www.startribune.com/north-dakotas-only-abortion-clinic-will-move-to-minnesota-if-high-court-overturns-roe-v-wade/600177157/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Minneapolis Star Tribune</a>:
</div>
<div>"The clinic has been operating in Fargo for nearly a quarter-century and serves all of North Dakota, part of South Dakota and northwest Minnesota. While the private clinic also provides pregnancy testing, birth control and testing for sexually transmitted infections, it is primarily an abortion provider.
</div>
<div>"Some patients drive as long as six hours to get to the clinic in Fargo, Kromenaker said. If no clinics provide abortions in the Fargo-Moorhead area, those patients would have to drive another four hours to a Twin Cities abortion provider, Kromenaker said, putting abortion out of reach for many."*
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>*At the time of this article, the South Dakota clinic was still seeing abortion patients but these appointments have since been paused. RRWC will 100% be scheduling/seeing the SD patients who can no longer be seen in their home-state.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As we anticipate the decision from SCOTUS, let us put some energy (and funds) towards making sure people in ND/SD/MN have no lapse in exceptional care.
