There is a super clinic in New York City with a doctor who specializes in treating this rare condition, and we are hopeful that this visit could bring us closer to a cure. <div>Hi, I'm Hillary McDonald. I have been diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. I had my colon removed. Part of my liver, 2 feet of lower intestines and my left shoulder is wrapped in the muscle, tendons and bone which had 5 radiation treatments to help with the pain. But it remains a serious problem I live with. With little to no control of the arm. The cancer has Metastasis to the bone.This came out of no where. I plead with you to make an appointment to get a colonoscopy. I have an 8 year son that my husband and I are raising and I just started with the clinical trial called Keytruda.

Seeking medical help.

A family of 4  in our community is in desperate need.   Here is their story:<br /><br />"We have lived in Johns Creek for 20 years. I have received an eviction notice from the apartment landlord due to our one month past due of $2, 114.   We have two children, 18 and 21 who are seeking gainful employment to assist us after my husband was severely injured in a car accident.  He was on his way to meet a client off Delk Rd when he had a stroke upon entering the parking lot, he hit 7 cars. He is unable to drive for 6 months and can't work until further notice. I am a nurse working at Morningside of Alpharetta caring for a wonderful elderly lady. My wages alone are not sufficient to cover the medical bills, rent, and to purchase a new car (this was our only vehicle). On, Sunday June 7, 2020, loving family and friends experienced the unimaginable devastation of the abrupt passing of their beloved Son/Brother/Friend, Andrew James Cose II.   Our otherwise healthy and vibrant 22 year old heartbeat experienced a heart attack while doing what he loved most, playing basketball with his friends.  <br /><br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/48692216_1591828043516306_r.jpeg" alt="48692216_1591828043516306_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" /><br />Andrew's spirit cannot be captured with words.  He was truly a light that touched all he encountered during his time on earth.  The outpour of love and sympathy has been overwhelming and INCREDIBLY comforting to those of us whom had the privilege to love him closely.  Though he was born in his mother's image physically, Andrew was most reflective of his father as a multi-sport athlete.  Though he garnered attention and praise for his talents in almost any athletic activity, he was most proud of his membership on the Georgia Ballers Basketball Team and the Alpharetta Phoenix Rugby Club. <br /><br />'Drew' as he is affectionately referred to by his loved ones, possessed an angelic spirit making it impossible for any and all that he encountered to not instantly fall in love with him.  He made you feel love for him and loved by him.   <br /><br />Andrew was a great kid and well on his way just having landed a job with a Computer Technology Firm while completing his final hours needed to achieve his BA Degree in Petroleum Engineering at Georgia State University.  <br /><br />Originally hailing from New Orleans, La, Andrew loved a good 'Crawfish Boil', 'Poboys' and celebrating life and family on any day of the week.  <br /><br />Loved ones have received an outpour of love and support from both his hometown "village" as well as that of his beloved Georgia family &amp; friends having been described by neighbors as "the sweetest young man ever, full of hopes and dreams."<br /><br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/48692216_1591828751318537_r.jpeg" alt="48692216_1591828751318537_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" /><br /><span style="font-size:1.0625rem;">Andrew is survived by his Mother, Father, Sister  and a host of relatives and friends that became family.  Andrew brought people together.  This has only intensified since he departed this life.  This is but one of many reasons that his memory shall remain alive within our hearts forever!</span><br /><br />This fund was created by the Peers &amp; Extended family of Andrew and will be managed by his elder sister, Alexia Cose.  Our goal is to offer assistance to the bereaved family to help cover funeral and final expenses incurred during this abrupt and most difficult time.<br /><br />Thank you all for your support, thoughts, and prayers. We are all connected. Every living, loving, moving, breathing thing. When we come into the world, we expect nothing. All we have is so impressionable, all we seek is attention, acceptance, approval from those chosen to care for us. <br /><br />Henley and Harley found us. We were chosen to have them in our care. What we thought was a dream encounter finding brand new puppies in the woods after a lengthy hike, quickly turned to a nightmare circumstance. Ticks and fleas were the least of the worries for these two sweet loves. <br /><br />We took them two hours from where we found them watching them eat 2 bowls of food and drink 3 bowls of water in the meantime. Coming home, it was evident that the boy was in bad shape, worse than originally thought. He barely ate, winced when held, and only wanted to be as close as possible to me. He wanted to let us know he loved us, but more importantly that something was wrong. <br /><br />After visiting the vet first thing in the morning, we learned that both pups tested positive for Parvo, and it was a matter of days before they’d be fighting through bodies with possibly zero white blood cells to fight for their own health. <br /><br />Henley, otherwise is fine. <br />And then there’s Harley. <br /><br />Doc showed in X-rays that Harley has a diaphragmatic hernia. His lungs are inflamed, his ribs crowded, his intestines in places it shouldn’t be, his heart smothered by organs overwhelming it. What’s worse? It was mostly likely a trauma that caused this - the vets’ theory: he was thrown from a car. Tossed out of unwant. <br /><br />With a compromised immune system, being quarantined from his sister, on the brink of a full blown attack, Harley needs even more than Henley. <br /><br />The vet told us he’d hang on with him as long as we wanted. Giving them proper meds to calm the affects of Parvo, boarding them to keep close eye, and finally, performing surgery on our sweet Harley. <br /><br />All of this is much more than we anticipated, but not any less worth it to save the tiny faces who only want to love. <br /><br />We’re asking for assistance to not only help, but save them together. It was clear to us Harley survived FOR his sister, and Henley’s demeanor is always looking for her brother. This unmistakable bond is why we want them both to thrive together. They were brave enough to walk in the road and catch our attention. And we want to be brave enough to ask for help to let them know it was worth it all. <br /><br />We are asking only for the cost of the vet’s bill to keep them during this time they’re fighting Parvo, and Harley’s surgery. We can’t thank you enough just for reading this.<br /><br />*if The dogs do not survive Parvo, all money will be donated to Agape Animal Rescue to aid abandoned animals and preventing animal cruelty by giving our furriest friends the fur-ever homes they deserve.
